Well at least I have Oblivion already. I'd be surprised if one of the primary purposes of this game isn't to just get feedback on one of their combat overhauls for ESVI. I'm guessing they're probably implementing some sort of locked targeting switch seamless swaps and dodging/strafing but maybe they're wondering if they do hit direction so they'll have it as an option in Oblivion to see how people react to it.

Me. The game is 32bits which means it can only access 4GBs of RAM after you patch the exe (by default it's 2GBs). So if you play with a lot of mods you'll likely experience frequent crashes. The last time I tried playing Oblivion I would sometimes get multiple crashes per hour.

Oblivion is like one of a handful of games that actually is deserving of a remaster. The original game has so many issues with soft locking, crashing, and other general scripting bugs that even having every mod under the sun cant 100% prevent them. There's also the level scaling, which is designed so fucking terribly that it completely ruins the combat system and in alot of builds forces you to straight up min-max.
Fixing these 2 problems alone would make the game a worthwhile purchase IMO.

ue5 was originally just for graphics, all the assets are modern, with rtx, and all the other bullshit. it runs 10 times worse, as usual, and doesn't even look particularly great. the problem is ue5 stopped being just for graphics, and became part of the coding pipeline. because of that, no mods work anymore, and never will unless modders start porting everything. even worse, the ue5 code is obfuscated, making this even harder. if you're ok with the vanilla experience, here's what you're getting

Use AI to write a gorillion additional lines of dialogue, jam it all into nested rng tables, have your fps dip by 50% as your computer renders the response line to your unspoken dialogue choice.
I mean, people are doing it today with a Skyrim mod, and not even on current-gen GPUs. Given how far out TES6 is, I don't think it's inconceivable that it would target a 50xx equivalent card as the minimum, because we will likely be on 70xx by then.

mantella and similar are using remote server rental unless you have a second gamerbox on hand just to run the localized skyrim chatbot. At least last time I checked and if it had changed it'd have become a lot more popular/game ready in a lot of indie/BBB slop. Local hosting is possible but not on the same card you're playing the game with. I can't see a game being built on current tech for X years in the future ceding the graphics/inefficient coding buffer to add more than 1 line of dialogue to NPCs. And it's a big >implying to think Bethesda of all companies would structure a game around choices by an adaptive AI when they can't even write a branching storyline conventionally.
A lot of AI generated dialogue they don't have to voice record is doable on average tech (and a future Xbone720) and can fake depth while the game itself is still just 200 kill quests in a row.
