Also I don't know why you included the second USB port as being a bad thing, one of the big hiccups the system had was that you couldn't stand the Switch 1 up anywhere while it's charging because you can't fit a charge cable under the system. It also meant kids that play while charging would use the cable as almost like a "rest" while playing handheld, fucking the cable up and sometimes the port too.

Other shit that kinda bugs me:

using the joy-cons as a mouse means rubbing metal against whatever surface you're playing on, which will definitely scuff it over time

If you're referring to the price difference between Japan and the rest of the world (and really mainly the US), that's not an arbitrary price difference, that's a price adjusted to the purchasing power of Japanese consumers.
It's also to dissuade foreigners from buying up Japanese supply of Switch 2's to offset the tariffs in their home country (again, mostly the US)

What we really need is a "Switch TV" that's just a console the size of a Mac Mini M4 bundled with a Pro Controller, even with tariffs Nintendo could make one of these with a triple-slot Game Card port and NVMe with a 2230 and come in around $150 net cost before shipping. Add a Pro 2 Controller that doesn't have a headphone jack, the extra under buttons and hall effect sticks and you're done.

The problem is they tried to add too much shit to this thing at launch instead of hitting people with cheap hardware and lots of good software to move it, then adding the gimmicks like gameshare and webcams and mouse mode controllers afterward.

It didn't work the the Vita TV because they didn't make any of them and it was underpowered as fuck.

The people who want a portable switch bought a Switch Lite, I don't know a single person who lugs a fucking fullsize. One person I know installed an OLED in their Lite.

Physical games are dead, the Game Card ports are just there for the old switch games. It makes zero sense to have a portable that "docks" when you could just have two separate consoles with the same SoC (bin the TV version) to lower the overall cost and hit a better economy of scale.

I shouldn't have to pay for features that I'll never use (screen, controllers, battery, USB-C ports, microphones, etc.). Just give me a fucking box I can hook up to my TV and a controller for fuck's sake. and then make a Switch Lite for portable people and have it download cloud saves while it sleeps or via bluetooth from the home console.

also imo the switch is as portable as a laptop. without a backpack is useless. to me portable means I can put it in my pocket without going back to the 2000s cargo pants.
