I can't name a specific spot, but Ictuses generally drop very good gear for melee attack builds. You can already powergrind them at the North Delusians Summit if you're cool with resetting for spore weather (which only appears in the afternoon, by the way). But, any indigen that's at level 60 can be forced to drop ultra diamond/nebulan/infinite tier gear if you use Heroic Tale at its 3rd cooldown. As for whether or not it's worth it for non-skell gear... I don't think so! The usual farm spots will be good enough.

Honestly, I have no idea. If you adamantly refuse to use a skell, you'll have to suffer while you farm. Skells exist to make the initial grind for a basic ground build less awful. Joker is still a bit of a pushover, so... just pick a build and grind out the basics? Like a sakuraba right and left light arm with melee attack up XIV (this can go to XX) and a melee weapon of your choice.
I strongly suggest you use a skell for, at the very least, the start of your ground build grind. You're going to want a ranged attack meredith M-missile skell for material farming anyway, and by want I mean need.

I think it's the next tier after those ones. Or the tier before i don't remember.

Also I cannot stress enough how shit Joker and Luciano/single tyrants in general are as indigens to farm for weapons. The visigels in the Noctilucent Sphere are the best for a reason, you can get 8 of them per reset and they die instantly. Use a skell for grinding your ground gear. Farm pugiliths at Badr Basin for 2 meredith M-Missiles with the missile mag trait by fighting them on foot, then you can start grinding for your augments too.

An easy way to go Infinite with Javelin is Overwhelm. 3 hits purple art is very good the second you have a few hits in. Even with only 10 on the gauge it's 300TP a use. The cooldown is also very low. I went infinite easily with this.

I like the effect sometimes but in this game I would say it's a downgrade compared to the original. when used poorly it just makes things look overly bright and/or metallic/plastic looking and in this case it makes previously shadowed areas glow white which is really stupid. in games where it's used well it adds this cool stylistic flare or it simulates realistic lighting. pic related in Elma's sleeve shows how this game does it(retarded)

Any aura that reflects a damage type can be made to reflect every damage type at the same time by stuffing reflect augments in your gear.
This won't protect you from enemies that have attacks that can bypass resistances so you'll probably still want meme walker for those cases.

Yes, those skell wears can drop traits that buff skells instead, seriously even just two attack drives is a huge buff. You can also equip five gp drive XXs to get 6000 gp on non medium frames.

Finished chapter 8, just recruited Nagi. I already beat the game on Wii U so I'm taking my time. The better map, not having Lin and Elma being mandatory on 90% of affinity missions and quick recast are godsends, for the first time, I'm on high affinity with my whole party without having to grind AND I get to find and read all their H2H. It's the first time in 4 playthroughs I actually got to see all 5 of Lao's H2H

The new world has technology, but it's Ether-based stuff like 2's and steampunk-esque stuff like 1's. People may not have Machina, High Entia, Blade, or regional traits (Gormotti, Urayan, etc.) anymore, they may all be like City folk who are standard humans, it's at the point where the people match what the people of Klaus' Earth looked like. Nopon still exist. NLA arrives at this planet and decides it's habitable, but there's friction. This world is still fantasy while NLA is sci-fi, there's racism and discrimination and friction between the factions (except for Nopon). This will be a continuation of themes introduced in X. The general theme of Xeno is foreign, strange, alien things meeting. History risks repeating itself as with the Saviorites (Salvators in Xenosaga) coming to form their own faction as second-class citizens, and the potential of war looms over fear of what's different. This will be Xenoblade 4. Meanwhile, Xenoblade X2 will instead follow a surviving escape ship (probably New Tokyo) and be more in line with X's gameplay structure as opposed to a direct narrative continuation for its characters.

you had to get BLADE medals each time you made an attempt and you got BLADE medals by hiring scouts and levelling them up which you normally did by picking up 3 randos and then killing territorial monkey or luciel. but those were easy to get so it was effectively as many tries as you wanted, yes.

the one manon npc who used to talk about blade medals just had that entire dialogue branch nuked though, Capsicca on the manon ship i think.
