Skyrim combat mods all feel like shit when you actually play them. I also don't understand why people mod a sovlful game like Skyrim to look like modern ubishit, your enb and textures look fine but your character and UI make it look soulless

Wow!! I definitely want to spend 100+ hours jury rigging this slop together on a 25 year old engine so I can get a lackluster emulation of modern action game combat I’ll play for 10 minutes and then get tired of.

It really isn't though, it's bad because you can't even see what your character is doing half the time, you're supposed to look at its animations for ques which you can only really do in third person. The only way you would enjoy it is if you already played the vanilla game a bunch first so you're experienced enough to know what's going on without seeing it.

I hate when aiming doesn't actually do anything, like in Skyrim. Cleave a dude right in the face and it does the same damage as hitting them in the forearm. It's such a letdown.

I never understood it either, and why are they always just worse versions of dark souls style combat?
Something like a first/third person slasher in the style of mount and blade or chivalry would make much more sense. Honestly even going back towards proper rpg rng like in baldurs gate/ neverwinter nights except in first person would make more sense.
