Rareware DK was an aged design that Nintendo had no idea what to do with after Rare was bought by Microsoft. I'm glad they did a 180 on the design and made it miles more appealing than the staleface shit we've had since the GameCube. In general the Mario series looks miles better than it ever has, thank fucking god Nintendo's embracing Nakaue's art and making it the standard for the games' visual style.
