Abiotic Factor

why isn't this game more popular? It's fun

file.png - 1589x889, 1.91M

it's only fun with friends, so nobody her is capable of talking about it.

dropped the game since the early access release, what's been added since?

Why does it look like half life

might aswell wait till the roadmap is done

it's half-life/SCP inspired, you play as scientists in a research facility in a middle of a resonance cascade. I actually love it because instead of chopping trees and banging rocks, you salvage office supplies, military gear and the weird shit the lab has

Why does it look like half life

That is HALF the appeal.

What the FUCK is their problem?

"Erm, did any of you remember to account for the abiotic factor?"

credits roll

Call me when it's out of EA

I wish that this game had a surge of popularity so people would draw porn of the aliens

I haven't played in a while, can I sill be the soup-bringer making soups for my bros?

It's only fun if you play with a static group and then only if said static group progresses the story when everyone's online. We have a crew of 4 and have been running every portal world and story beats together.

Helps that the game is pretty linear like Raft.

Quint post best post

I tried it out in single-player and while I should have liked it a lot, I couldn't help but feel while playing it that it was designed for multiplayer.

go to sandbox settings crank the exp gain to 3x, it'll be balanced real quick

friendslop

tariffs too high so illuminati masters told them to burn it all down

It's not a good game. The sandbox gameplay of a survival/crafting game is not compatible with the linear campaign. Because resource spawns in the lab are static, you can run out of shit and then tome of the most critical recipes you need are dependent on these finite resources. They band aid'd this problem with realms that respawn but you have to wait in-game days for them to reset so you can go farm. The combat isn't good because of how spongy enemies are. Regular human enemies (not wearing armor, 17th century farmers) take 5-10 pistol shots. You can and should simply ignore guns because even with farming, you'll never have enough ammo to sustain using a gun and will have to fall back to melee or crafted projectiles anyway. The game is mostly about doing chores. The MOST fun thing you can do in the game is cook food.

ADVERSA-ACK!

the resources aren't a problem since you can trade critical stuff with traders now, however as a gun nut I agree the devs made the guns suck in favor of science weapons. Now if only there's a mod to tweak gun damage and ammo drops

Checked and scientist pilled

I wish security sector had more, it felt like it took 15 minutes compared to every other sector.

Oh it is but I'm waiting for it to finish up

I really liked that making progress added events to the facility. Kinda sad that they didnt implement the monster from security sector when you open it to hunt you down once lights go out.

Needs to have friends to play and I lack that requirement

quint not being stolen by a shitpost

gaming is healing

It was my GOTY last year and it wasnt even finished. Im caught up in my solo game and am just waiting for the next update. Im actually surprised how well the team has been keeping up with the updates in a reasonable amount of time.

the reapers spooked the shit out of me until i got the energy pistol, then they just became an annoyance. Security sector should have been more fleshed out, hopefully they'll retouch the sector in the future

Yeah. I think it shouldnt be as weak to energy as it is. Maybe downright immune so you acutally need to sneak. And make some "lamps" avialable for your base to be safe from him like leyak but otherwise make him dangerous when exploring at night

reaper appears again when there is lots of human death within a short time period, like in dusk reactor bridge area, where you have gatekeepers vs military
one of the gatekeepers side threw a grenade and killed like 10 military, and a reaper spawned on top of them and killed all the other gatekeepers

Huh cool. I didnt know that. But i parked my character right before the reactors and im waiting for 1.0 with a friend.

i fucking shit myself in real life. this fucking game going from horror, to rooty tooty, then back into horror was kino.

fuck shit 2.webm - 1280x720, 3.77M

the order: illuminati organization dedicated to destroy GATE

gatekeepers: borderline witchcraft and technomancy-using mercenaries hired to deal with otherworldly anomalies

couldn't figure out a pew pew laser gun can disappear the reapers while the SCIENCE team eating poop soup can

SCIENCE wins again

i can't get to voussoir because i have severe thalassophobia and this shit hits
hopefully i can fish until fishing 15 so i can actually progress

get a jetpack and the gravity cube, or gravity cube trinket and you can fly right over the water and land on the platform easily.

I saw someone make a fuckhuge bridge there too but that's probably a waste of resources compared to just jetpack + gravity cube

i've really enjoyed it so far but i think my friends got bored of it, we were just about to enter some kind of big portal too we discovered

the new jump backpack gives nice forward movement

but nowhere as much upward movement as jetpack and its hard to do precise jumps or air movement with it

but it can fit more stuff inside it

my boring ass friends did the same. they'll play the sloppiest of slop survival games, but then when a good one comes out, they drop it right away.
