Dragon ammo is very limited and not something you can build around. Fire is 2nd best, and is still a decent 20 hitzone on the wingarms. Though with how much HP Zoh Shia has you probably also want to rawdog it to avoid constantly retreating to camp to restock ammo.

Guard Up and Perfect Guard user here, no I wouldn't say redundant. Infact Im able to use them in my favor constantly.

Don't charge your first hit every time unless you're doing critical draw shit, which isn't really supported or rewarded. Fully charged L1 slash does solid damage if it's all you have time for. The circle attack for the sweep out of charge is also decent in this game. In general tackling through your first two stages is best, but in this game it can be nice to build wounds in the early hits.

Other small things are that if you overcharge past the third stage, it reverts to a level 2 charge so release it right when it pulses. If you shoulder bash through a monster's attack (including a roar) you'll maintain your charge level for the next swing. Your R1 wound burst inherits the charge level of your previous swing as long as you do it quickly. Perfect Guards and your offset are good, use them.

I've been using Ajarakan GL since I like blast like R.Brachy's from World and finally got this, but it doesn't feel much better besides slots due to sharpness and not having innate Load Shells. Artian stuff is also underwhelming. I miss the simplicity of spamming poke+shell.

Why is it that MH multiplayer post GU has just been an exercise in frustration? Even back in GU and 4U, people would cart but now it feels like the competency has hit rock bottom. Every fucking tempered Gore, tempered Mizu or even Zoh Shiah, 95% of the time these retards die in less than 5 minutes. Even on the rare occasion that we beat the quest, everyone immediately fucks off whether in a public lobby or SOS.

It's a world of difference playing with friends but my friend group that still cares about MH has shrunk down to like 2 other guys and the game is just boring when we're all smacking the absolute fuck out of a monster with little to no resistance.
