They are a consulting firm that makes sure that games have the "correct" % of representation for things like PoC, LGBT, disabilities, etc. and that the stories and characters have the "correct" dialogues and storylines that are in accordance with SJW views and mindsets.

SBI usually seek out developers and publishers, and straight up strongarm them into accepting their partnership and business by claiming that if they don't, then their game will be seen as problematic and thus it won't get talked about by video game "journalists" and that it won't sell well.

ESG/DEI was being used unironically as a metric for how viable an investment was, pushed by Blackrock. Companies like Sweet Baby and similar would approach studios, essentially say their game is bigoted or could use some consultancy to make sure it fits with ESG values, probably referencing investment opportuinity etc as part of it. Studios would also receive additional funding/investment simply for including certain themes, which is why you have videos of studios like CDPR "accepting" ESG and the future of the studio. Ofcourse the whole initiative was a complete disaster because they were so fucking obvious and hiding so little of their agenda that normalfags for once realised what kind of bullshit they were being told to swallow.
You can find articles of Larry Fink lamenting about how badly this idea backfired with ESG becoming synonymous with poison which is why they rebranded. Unfortunately the pendulum never fully swings back anymore.

Also back when ESG was being made very obvious, you still had schizos and retards pretending like it was all some big boogeyman like SJW culture and woke was regarded as. Even though Blackrock literally had on their website how they measured their investment metrics to include ESG scores and how many videogames Sweetbaby had fucked with on the back of that initiative. It was literally right in front of their fucking faces and you still had people say it wasn't real.

Imagine being a video game developer. You could easily go into a better paying tech job, but you choose to spend years of your life working on a game because it's your passion.
