Sony owned the entire video game market with the PS2, then was in 3rd place for the majority of the next generation, the same is true with Nintendo and the Wii/Wii U but Sony doesn't have the naming excuse to fall back on for the PS3 failing, consumers just didn't buy the PS3.

With every other company looking to release handhelds now, it's not really unheard of that the Switch 2 could do poorly long term. Not everyone adopts a new console at launch and by the time they might consider upgrading Nintendo won't be the only game in town if there's a Sony and Microsoft handheld out. I'm not saying that those people acting like the Switch 2 is going to fail are right, I'm saying there's really no way to know what will happen. How tightly held in place are the Joycons in portable mode? The first Switch joycons have a little bit of give to them when connected to the system and that's usually fine for most games but it completely fucks my rhythm up and as someone who loves portable rhythm games this is one very specific aspect of the Switch 1 that I hate.

Since the way they are held to the system is different this time I'm really hoping this isn't a problem anymore.
