You didn't ACTUALLY get scammed by a steam deck, did you? You DO know you can just stream your desktop to your phone and play any games you want, right?
You didn't ACTUALLY get scammed by a steam deck, did you...
too much lag and artifacting
but i cant notice it
i can
I streamed RE4 today, felt great looked great
i do, i have an s23 ultra and backbone, been playing through tropical freeze on citron, runs at 60fps, also why is your phone square
Pro fold 9 running a virtual monitor to enable native inner screen resolution streaming
S tier gaming setup
steam deck graphics settings and fps too low
but i cant notice it
i can
cloud streaming is awful.
Xbox does it the best and its still terrible.
Just get a carrying case and take your deck with you too
cloud streaming is awful.
nah, I use geforce now and I get 20ms latency. it works great.
xbox streaming is worse than geforce now though.
Also, OP is talking about local streaming.
Streaming your desktop from your local network is a million times better than cloud streaming services
buy a steam deck
Or
Buy an expensive gaming PC and a phone and mobile controller to stream to
Which is the better deal?
Who the fuck tries to run unoptimized AAA games on their deck? It's just not what it was made for. This isn't even comparable at all to lag and artifacting these are two completely different sets of issues/compromises. I guess I just don't get it since I don't really care about console war stuff?
buy expensive toy with plastic screen and expensive pc and mobile controller
this one
streaming
phone
lmao, try using virtual desktop. In bed, on the shitter, on the couch, in the bath. My desktop is accessible anywhere.
steam streaming is the fucking worse. you have to setup everything on your computer first and then use whatever device you're streaming from and if anything requires keyboard and mouse you're completely fucked and your computer just stays on.
one time it worked well
kek im sure it stays like that all the time. its shit.
streaming absolutely anything that requires split second accuracy
lol
lmao
rofl
your image is broken. its too higlighted.
one time it worked well
It works fine every time.
You can try it yourself, they have a promotion right now you can play 1 hour for free.
You're completely fucked!
Doing this requires a bit of tech literacy anon
Use a virtual keyboard, an on-screen keyboard, or anything else
Moonlight has commands to turn your PC on and off for you distantly
Stream with moonlight, not steam
C'mon now
20ms is a lot of added delay for anyone that isnt braindead. That's probably only ping, you also have the time it takes your phone to decode the video, so probably tack another 10-15 ms on top of that. Since most phones are shit at it.
yeah let just ignore the fact that you need to buy another router just for streaming
and ofc it cannot be a cheap one
I play action games on it
I guess I wouldn't play a competitive shooter but are you REALLY doing that in a mobile gaming platform with a controller anyway?
That's total.
Yeah. Sunshine and moonlight is based as fuck if you have a device that can decode video quickly and a fast network. (Wired preferably)
No you don't? Why should I buy another router
>streaming
streaming from my xbox will play modern games way better than a steam deck could manage. it's not even close.
Are you motherfuckers still running fucking DLS internet or what, I get 2ms with fiber.
I mostly play my 'eck at work where there's no mobile internet, how would that work with streaming?
just install and configure the client and the host streaming program and the network remote access settings and the router settings and
I'll just my Deck if it's all the same to you
im not setting up all that bullshit. it should JUST WORK.
stop lying anon. you know its shit.
Just fucking buy 2 15 feet hdmi cables and connect it to a portable monitor with a goose mount on your bed.
Its literally that easy.
Or you could just get a HMD.
Its so much better anon.
2ms to where? Your home router? You would have to live right next to NVidias server farm for your latency to them to be that low. Even then that seems awfully unlikely.
Won't work without wifi or a good cell signal, gotta use the 'eck
You can't press a button in windows to create a virtual keyboard? Or tap three fingers on the screen to pull up your phone keyboard?
You need a good phone, a PC with a good GPU and solid Internet connection on both ends.
100tb per second interent
1 person walks infront of it
kek
The only time I used Steam local streaming, was a few years ago to play CK2 on my shitty laptop in bed. Was pretty comfy, and it worked "okay", was a bit jank though.
It's shitty and laggy compared to third party alternatives.
And what happens when you don't have wifi?
never had any interest in it because it reminds me a lot of a modern day atari lynx or similar meme brick handhelds from ancient times but seeing the constant shilling and shitposting from jeets and butthurt nintendo haters here definitely convinced me to stay away from it
imagine whipping out this monstrosity in public
I’d kick your ass
As opposed to a fucking steam deck??
they would get their asses kicked too, just not as badly
deck owners = losers
OP = fag
holy shit you fuckers still run fucking dls do you or maybe docis lmao.
I'm afraid my LG Wine 2 doesn't support game streaming.
youtube.com
This guy gets even better latency than I do.
I tried out streaming the other day, even moved my router for optimal conditions, Wifi 6, wired to the PC, H264, the whole shebang. Completely unplayable, less responsive than the latest slop release running at 30fps, and that was with so considered fast decoding speeds. Whatever latency you're imagining, double it, triple it if you're optimistic/stupid. Streaming shills have underdeveloped brains.
It's pretty seamless for me
Do you live in mumbai
I know, neanderthal.
streaming
Steam deck running video games?! That's just not what it was made for!
How come no one pointed out that the thing folded out on the wrong side because the USB connector is on the right? Looks fucking terrible to hold. Isn't there one of these things that just holds by clamping force?
So what happens when you don't have wifi?
you will never be a normalfag
Deck comfy
my bad bro
thank god
Boiling down a well thought out response to a disingenuous one line summary
You know exactly what he meant faggot.
solid Internet connection
wait you're not talking about doing it over WiFi?
Isn't it basically like PSNow shit then? Nobody wants to play that laggy shit
Why do I keep having to explain this to you Indians?
My phone battery is for adulting and doom scrolling. I can't waste it on video games!
Streaming is great but it's only really feasible at home (and at that point just use the desktop PC). Outside, the Deck is a fantastic backlog machine because it's a 1050ti laptop with a Steam Controller 2.0 bolted on the sides.
It just needs a little more power for PS3 games and it'll all be what I need for gaming. I can't wait for Steam Deck 2.
xbox
How do I stream to my phone while trucking otr in north america
I actually bought that controller the other day, the non bluetooth one with the usb c port.
How the hell do you use it on a pc/laptop? I thought it you just plugged it in, the pc would recognize it, install the driver, etc, but something that simple just doesnt seem to be working.
ZeroTier or Tailscale
stream your desktop to your phone
Why wouldn't you just play on your PC if you're like 5 feet away from it?
A lot of people prefer to have separate dedicated devices and not have to bother with things like remove play, so I get why the Steam Deck is so popular, it's also a great deal for its price, but if you're like me and prefer to play either Android titles or just emulate retro, using your smartphone or tablet with a controller makes a lot more sense financially, for sure. It's a cozy setup.
Plenty of them, you just need the connector on the left side
