Like I really noticed how slow things have been since Anon Babble returned but I guess I used confused bot posts with real people before, but I don't know what kind of posts these were. Somebody will make a thread and you'll see successive replies trickle in not fast or anything but steadily, and they won't quote eachother or anything. There's dozens up at this very moment like that and the botters do it to boost their own threads, it's too juicy to pass up so they do it. People cheat with everything and because of the nature of the easy exploitability of the other chans retard botters could run rampant and their botting was super blatant.
There's plenty of tools you can use nowadays to get past captcha as well, so that's not an excuse like chink captcha solving services you can just P2W for, it's semi-botting and the thing is IDs won't actually solve the problem fully even, because the botters use unique ips. They p2w for too, but because of how the process works you will see braindead one liner replies back to back to back and that's a sure sign there's a botter faggot samefagging his premade thread.
Of course you will also have people thinking there's no botting going on but they never witnessed the fucking weird threads on moe with all different ips and not a single duplicate multiposting id.

I think IDs would at the very least make botting obvious, it did heavily disincentivize that kind of machine-gun IP hopping by "casual spammers" but then you got completely insane people who have nothing better to do but try and bend a fucking imageboard thread to their will so they have an alarmingly sophisticated bot network to put to that task. The Final Fantasy 14 threads over on moe were really funny and really depressing for that, somebody was ragebaiting himself by posting a lalafell (obligatory potato/dwarf race) and then screeching I HATE FEMALE LALAFELL in response to his own bait, and blasted the site with so much spam that the alternate domains went down and the site owner had to step in and try and figure it out.

I don't think it's gotten much better for the time being, just slower. Most unnerving is that the catalog looks borderline the same as it did before the site death.

Basically a combination of people not knowing the website is back up, people not wanting to return for various reasons, and people posting more sporadically due to the new captcha. Even Anon Babble, Anon Babble's second-fastest board prior to the hack, is now slow as hell since they moved to an altchan dedicated to Hololive.

It actually feels like all the schizos and worst posters are the ones who remained on the altchans. I checked back on the board-that-shall-not-be-named and it's basically all gacha generals and vtuber shit now.

Anon, our current peak posts per minute are lower than the minimums were at the end of March. PPM barely peaked at 50 today, compared to ~90 at the end of March with a minimum of ~64. There are fewer people posting now, at ~11:50 PM EST than there were posting 3 weeks ago at 5 AM EST, when everyone is asleep/at work/at school.
Even the total posts per day is down by ~16k.
