What is even the point of creating builds if you can beat the game by le parry and dodge every single fight (which is piss easy to master after 10 minutes)

If you attempt a fight more than once you didn't beat the game and you're casual.

There isn't one for the first two acts. I just ignored it until the game removed the damage cap.

this looks like a boring flash in the pan game desu.

Have fun hacking that boss for an hour with no room for error.

Balance is the games biggest flaw. I think if you stick to the main quest and only the main quest it'd be better.

i finished act 2 and I havent unlocked the no damge boss fight trophy...20% unlocked it...I suck and Im the worst reeeeeeeeese

Who knows
Beat the game getting hit by everything

you WILL dodge 60 attacks in a row and die from one missed b-because it's turn based tactical RPG!!! GOTY

laughs in Grosse Tete

and die from one missed

Level up HP + DEF. Your glass cannon build is great but only on the hands of a player that isn't dogshit

you will dodge 60 attacks in a row and die from one missed-

sounds like elden ring to me

I did this with one of the Chroma enemies and did actually have fun. Usually not a fan of parry shit in games but the blend works well here I think, trying to perfectly parry while the boss got multiple turns in a row and using Lune to revive the other 2 when they'd get one shot was really intense.

I have some HP, DEF and 500 hp picto :) A tactical turn-based RPG where your build doesn't matter because game punishes you for not clicking the dodge button at the right time, lol

Then why are you still getting one shot'd?????
Also, why are you surprised that you're getting punished for playing like shit???????
Try lowering difficulty from normal mode to journalist mode

TACTICAL TURN-BASED "JRPG" THAT SOLELY DEPENDS ON DODGES SO YOU DON'T DIE, NO MATTER WHAT ELSE YOU DO

go back to souls-slop faggot

where your build doesn't matter

Well, it clearly matters because your glass cannon build isn't helping you win the game. Maybe do a tanky + burn + healspam build instead, so you can do constant damage and focus exclusively on healing the hits that you fail to dodge

skill issue lmao

I'm gonna make a CAN YOU BEAT EXPEDITION 33 WITHOUT DODGING OR PARRYING video and then proceed to shill it here daily just to piss you off

I already said I don't have glass cannon build, is something wrong with you?

You clearly have a glass cannon build because you're getting 1 shot'd you fucking giga tard.

normie slop-shit enjoyer detected
I don't care how you will waste your time tomorrow

Post your builds

I don't have a glasscannon build

Yes you have BECAUSE I TOLD YOU SO!

Post your builds

filtered lmao

Yeah the waifus are cute and I like the frogtism but jrpg combat is braindead and parryslop makes it even dumber.

It's not a tactical rpg moron, what the fuck are you talking about

tell me what it is then, exactly

The same genre as this game

It's a Turn based RPG with Legend of Dragoon mechanics

Nobody complained because tendies could play those games

I'm sorry i'm not a nintendo slop fan, you have to be more precise

Not my problem zoomer

which is piss easy to master after 10 minutes

How do I know you haven't played the game?

s.png - 2212x925, 1.59M

good gameplay is pressing the button at the right time now

This industry is dead lmao

ok tendie

Pressing the right button at the right time is what every form of gameplay is.

turn based JRPG

:|

turn based JRPG (with extra inputs)

This is literally worse than Hitler D:

You can be this reductive about literally any type of gameplay by the way

People beat this guy without one shotting him with Maelle?

Completionist autists aren't the majority.

turn based JRPG (with one specific mechanic that lets you beat whole game)

FTFY

But enough about FF8

not that thread retardkun

What is it about this game that causes Anon Babble to seethe so damn much?

Well, I haven't played much, but from what I've seen so far - putting arena so early kinda breaks the game, even on hard diff.

Is there anything in particular that determines when your weapons level up? because I had two weapons Gustave didn't even have equipped go from level 2 to 6 after a single random encounter.

I asked that yesterday.
They "leveled up" because enemies dropped them. Instead of adding new ones in your inventory, old ones are replaced with higher level weapons.

the weapon didnt really lvl up, a higher rank version dropped. im not sure how fixed it is but most of world map encounters drop a picto or a weapon first time you kill it

Those "level ups" were the enemies you fought dropping higher level versions of a weapon you already had, so your existing ones got replaced with them.
Could just be placebo, but to me it seemed like enemies around the world map seem to have a higher chance of dropping weapons. So if you get to a new part of the world and fight a handful of enemies you will get a bunch of weapons that are adequate for where you are in the game even without upgrading them yourself.

Yeah it was overworld enemies, so that checks out. Well Gustave's weapons now have triple the attack of either Lune's or Maelle's so whatever, can't complain too much.

The parry window is legitimately tighter than Sekiro, Lies of P, Khazan etc. Its like 17 frames.

That cannot be true. I got wrecked by every single enemy in Sekiro and had to put it down after just a few bosses. I'm doing pretty good in this one.

try fighting golgra

You probably just aren't far enough in the game yet.
Eventually enemies start purposefully throwing feints and mix ups into their 10 step combos to bait out your Parries and land their hits during the cooldown.
You can obviously learn them and/or bolster your defenses so you will not get one shot every time you fuck up a timing, but the later enemies quickly stop playing it fair.

Total Normie death, i'm sick and tired of parry dodge slop , dumbest dicksuckers to ever breath

are you on expert

Eventually enemies start purposefully throwing feints and mix ups into their 10 step combos to bait out your Parries and land their hits during the cooldown.

Yeah I've encountered this and I do struggle with that, but I'm just talking about the actual timing of the parries. Like if I know the attack pattern and when I'm *supposed* to parry I feel like I'm pretty consistent about doing it whereas in the Souls games and especially Sekiro I quite simply can't do it with any consistency.

Those parry timings are as tight as Maelle and the enemies are real assholes about faking you out with their animations.
It's not that easy.

Gotcha. I'm not sure about the actual window you have, but honestly Sekiro is VERY forgiving on the timings.
Maybe it just didn't seem that way to you since you have more things to worry about like your positioning and throwing in attacks? Hitting the Parry timings at the same time as everything else is a bit different from just sitting there with your finger on the button while watching exclusively the enemies' attack.

So are QTEs good now? I remember endless bitching about The Last Remnant's QTEs.
