when does it get fun?
When does it get fun?
its a strategic medieval battlefield simulator, nobody had any "fun".
You first need to be diagnosed with autism
1 horse dude can kill 15/20 base infantry dudes alone
where is the strategy?
That very same horse dude doesn't kill YOU
Or rather not be overwhelmed by hundreds of troops
stop playing on babby skill level
He doesn't know the joy of ordering a calvary charge with the boys and wrecking shit
is tactics still broken to the point of winning 20 vs 200 with 0 losses
nobody had any "fun".
Said the man who has never watched a 400 strong Fian champ firing line wipe out an entire Imperial column in a handful of salvos.
I dunno man, if you don't crack a smile when you deliver a couched lance into a peasants unwashed face at 40mph then maybe get diagnosed for depression or something
That's because Khan's Guard are OP as shit. Taleworlds making up for all the memes where Khergits were garbage at anything outside of circle strafing infantry with arrows. Can't have your self inserts getting dabbed on by their contemporaries again.
its time we sat down and had a talk Anon Babble.
Bannerlord IS a good game and its time to stop pretending it isnt.
Whatever you say Anon Babble
the castle sieges are amazing, I was giggling like a child during my first one. fucks wrong with you?
It's just unfortunate that everything that isn't combat is bad or buggy. It is improving, at an agonizing pace.
When you find just the right combination of QOL and immersion mods that actually works and the devs haven't broken them with an update yet
Keep telling yourself that, nerd.
"Turk"
50% Anatolian, 10% Greek, 10% Armenian, 10% Albanian, 10% Turkoman, 10% pastrami
larp as steppe Asiatic
NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN YOU VIL SMIF ONE VEPON UND REST ZREE DAYS
Total Swadian Death
What do you mean? The modding community has mostly chosen 1.2.12
The game should run a script to jumble and obfuscate the code as it runs and make all mods incompatible
ok mein boyar but how about let me have more control over how my winery gets its grapes and what colors my troops wear
I haven't actually played in years even though Bannerlord was the main reason I built my current overkill PC
I love funny and silly horse faces.
not collecting a government check so you can send out a 1kb hotfix to buckbreak the lists on a weekly basis
Ngmi
You're either born with the gene that lets you enjoy this sort of game or you're not. If you're not having fun within the first hour then you probably never will.
but i love the first hour
its when you become famous and the game starts both licking your asshole and shoving shit at you too fast to deal with that it gets horrible
i just wanna be a merc and shoot people for the cool fat dude with the beard
So is this better than the first game or not? I put about 30 hours in the original, which is not a lot.
When you uninstall it and go play Warband with mods of course.
modded warband is still superior to modded bannerlord. there's just zero reason to play bannerlord if you're a gameplayfag.
Things generally look good enough for a sequel, but there are as many features removed as there are added. Walking through towns is still janky and surreal, you can't RP as much as you should be able to, and you still can't customize towns/castles. NPCs have zero personality and you will never care about what they have to say outside of its positive/negative meaning. There's still no depth to romancing or marriage, but I think you do live on through your disconnected mute little heirs that spawn when you spend time in the same location as your spouse. Last time I played, the meta was to spam weapon smithing and resting until you produce extremely expensive pieces, then sell those to do whatever you want. There's not a lot of depth to the battles and almost zero chance of negotiating with an enemy commander. Sieges are still awkward to setup and play through. You can get to the stage where you side with an existing kingdom or found your own, then every other nation is aggro'd and it's more of the same roaming, recruiting, and fighting. They adding a DLC with boats soon apparently, but I really wish they'd develop the shit you can do that isn't involved with war.
It’s not for you
did you try turning it off very easy difficulty?
yes
thats not the answer to a question you dumb fuck retarded gorilla nigger
Will there ever be a good set of mods for this that fix it well enough?
In 9 years when he total conversion mods are done.
ok, the answer is yes if you turn it off of very easy difficulty
you might be legitimately retarded
is tactics OP?
if you turn off easy difficulty.
very easy has nothing to do with tactics you retard
what the fuck are you on about? are you having a stroke?
the answer to his question is that you are not going to win against overwhelmingly large forces with no losses unless you have the game set to very easy settings.
kek you are so fucking stupid holy shit
Try playing the game youre attempting to shitpost about you retarded mong
tactics is the auto-battle skill
Based
For sure
kek are you kidding me? THATS what you meant?
well maybe you should have specified you were referring to auto battles since vaguely saying "tactics" does not in any way communicate that since the tactics skill has applications outside of auto battles and no one reading your post is going to know that that specifically is what you are referring to
How did they fuck this up so badly when all anyone wanted was the same game with slightly better graphics and menus?
Tactics is the skill name you retarded faggot.
Fuck off you retarded nigger. Go play the game for once since you clearly haven't.
yes i know that, but the tactics skill has application outside of auto-battle, and your question does not in any way specify that you wanted to know specifically about auto-bettles
thats essentially what it is? its the same game but improved in almost every way aside from the lack of feasts.
the graphics are better
more diverse unit verity
the battle commands are way better with much more strategic options available to player and and battles are DRAMATICALLY improved
the army system is a huge improvement over the old equivalent of a bunch of guys just following the marshal around
SIGNIFICANTLY better settlement management, and notables and recruitment add both more flavour and utility to interacting with settlements
policies and diplomacy add at least some depth to your interactions with your faction beyond just supporting people/getting people to support you for a new fief
more engaging and rewarding inventory management
too many QOL tidbits to name
essentially it is the same game where you are doing the same things, ie. fighting battles, engaging in politics with your realm, managing your properties, but all of these things have been improved
hell theres even smithing if you want more shit to do and all that stuff isn't enough, though i dont particularly care for it
the problem with bannerlord is that it is a victim of its own success. its the type of game where people will dump hundreds of hours and enjoy every minute of it, then complain about it lacking this or that feature because they are bored after dumping so much time into it. '
the complaints i see about it range from wish fulfillment to completely asinine shit that people think they want but dont, like the people wanting more complex diplomacy in a game that is completely unsuited towards that sort of thing
it was delayed a bunch of times and was released unfinished and now development is over despite not having the promised features implemented
and now development is over
no its not
all we want is the same game but better!
actually we want all these pie in the sky new features
When you get the mod that turns everyone into big titty bimbos
I'm gonna buy it. I just want to play as late 90s Scottish people.
I liked the time I had with it but I'm very disappointed by the lack of total conversion mods. Turks have been fumbling the development. Too many little shit updates with no meat that still fuck mods up.
