I feel like people are more likely to be more pro piracy on other normie social media sites. As where Anon Babble has a vocal anti piracy crowd. My stance is if a game is 10 years old or older then I don't really give a damn about pirates. It's only when people are pirating new releases that I think it's questionable. But again I guess who really gives a shit even then other than people who have actual stakes in those sales doing well?

You still get a better product a lot of time when you pirate old games rather than some of these shit made ports and remasters of certain games. When they half ass this shit and people don't buy it they take it as oh people don't actually like the old games like they said they did so the IP is gonna die again.

Again too all the extras of using emulation make for a lot of extra enjoyment. Those people that use real hardware stuff to actually digitally dump and preserve their games are insanely cool, I wish that were a feasible scenario for everyone. But in today's day in age when it's 20+ year old unsupported consoles, the original devs receive none of that money buying used copies of games.

TLDR; piracy is cool for any digital media and is the only legitimate way any of this stuff is being carried into the future with original creators giving zero shit to preserve actual legacy of any kind.
