Castlevania

So far all we know about the franchise's future is a chink gacha game and a musical. Who the fuck wished upon the monkey's paw? Also, 40th anniversary next year, expect a collection, probably of the 3D games.

Patrician taste.

expect a collection, probably of the 3D games.

I mean, Konami's running out of games to rerelease.

You think Konami will eventually start shitting out smaller projects like Haunted Castle: Revisited? If there was a new game in development, they can rip off what Bloodstained did with the Curse of the Moon games and release cheaply made games in between releases.

I love Shanoa so much.

Hell yeah, brothers.

Shanoa4.jpg - 1200x1200, 281.07K

Best SFW Shanoa pic.

It's criminal how little art there is of her.

Shanoa2.jpg - 850x1274, 705.23K

Slopnoa from the hit Slopnami game Slopvania: Order of Slopia.

Yeah, even over at Pixiv.

At least most of the art we have is good.

AI freaks the fuck out of me because all the faces look dead.

It's what Requiem should have been.

Also not exclusive to fucking PS4.

Funny that outside of Sony consoles, the only other SotN port is mobile.

So leaks are calling the upcoming game a "reimagining" does that mean a new origin story or a remake?

That's so bizarre to me, people are still begging for SotN to come to Switch.

Given how they have been merchandising the original timeline and it's characters it's safe to say it won't be a hard reboot.

Probably just a gameplay overhaul while honoring the past.

More like Coomervania ahaha

Man, Castlevania's the franchise that does literally everything to tell you it's still alive other than releasing a new game. Personally, I think it's either an SotN or CV3 remake, the musical featuring Alucard was said by Konami to define the direction of the franchise's future, so he might be involved in some form.

Same here, we have 2 mobile ports of SotN, one of them being a fucking puzzle game and still no ports on other consoles and PC, though I vaguely remember it being available on the 360 back in the day.

I think we'll get there eventually.

Contra got a reboot, Silent Hill is getting a new game, and when Konami is done jerking off Metal Gear we'll finally get something Castlevania.

I think next year is the ideal year to release or announce something big since it's the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Also, speaking of "dead" Konami franchises, Getsu Fuuma also got a new game out of nowhere.

though I vaguely remember it being available on the 360 back in the day

It was. I got it off the 360 store.

I remember now.

Konami might announce a real anime since they have an animation studio now and are doing Suikoden of all things. A Quincy Morris movie that adapts the events of Bram Stoker's novel would be fun, though I'd still prefer a new game.

Not to mention the remakes of Silent Hill and two upcoming mobile games for Castlevania and Suikoden.

what could they even add for a 3d collection?
64 and the two ps2 games?

Chances of Castlevania 64 being in it or would they just stick to the PS2/XBOX era 3D games and MAYBE the Rondo of Blood remake for the PSP?

Those and probably some cheap remake of an older game. Funny how back in the day everyone was saying Lords of Shadow was the most successful game and now it's never given any attention in the collabs, hell Bloodstained outsold LoS, proving that fans wanted the old formula back.

I wouldn't mind that to be honest, hell, even one with a bigger budget. It seems like something newfags would latch onto, a new female protag and Alucard as a love interest, bonus points if they make him playable.

The franchise as a whole was fizzling out back in 2009-2012.

The retro games scene is making a comeback lately and lots of people are discovering the old games. Dominus Collection sold extremely well.

You faggots don't even play the games and keep coomposting. I fucking despise you.

Meanwhile CV 3 just got an amazing mod which fixes everything.
romhacking.net/hacks/8572/

316648034.jpg - 486x900, 175.32K

You faggots don't even play the games and keep coomposting.

Yeah, and?

I think it was fatigue, remember, from the years 2001-2008, only 2004 saw no game being released. Now that the dust has settled and people are appreciating the older games and their clones more, the franchise is primed for a comeback, Bloodstained is proof of that, if Konami doesn't chase the AAA God of War market again like in the Lords of Shadow days.

Well, there's the X360 port, which is backwards compatible... But It has wonky audio bitrate and no videos

That's actually how I learned about the game way back in 2007. I played it on a PS1 emulator on PSP.

You are in the wrong place bud. No one plays games on Anon Babble.

This is actually the first instance of a version of Alucard with blond hair. Let that sink in.

All good things must come to an end.

I think it's because Castlevania never had it's "Ocarina of Time" moment where the franchise had a successful transition to 3D that gained mainstream appeal.

Yeah, Castlevania never had that defining 3D game, the ones we got were fun, sure, but not amazing.

Open world crafting slop faux-castlevania from mercury steam soon brothers.

"Cool it, Dad Dude, stop being a bummer on humans and stuff"

Everytime someone shits on the OG character because of an animated series version of him, I remember he had weirder versions of him, like Captain N where he's a radical dude and Lords of Shadow, where he's Trevor for some reason and everything's okay again.

I remember some people thinking it was a codename for a new Castlevania game. I'm glad they were wrong. I don't dig the clunky Warcraft aesthetic.

Anyone want to play harmony of despair with me?

Silent Hill got more than a new game. It got about 4 projects total. Granted 2 of them were total shit that everyone's already forgotten, one is debatable, and we have yet to see how the last one pans out. With how that "revival" has been going I almost hope Castlevania doesn't get one, or at least they keep it to one game at a time like MGS is doing with delta.

what is your opinion on blue-haired simon from haunted castle

It's like someone in the chain of command at Konami said: "Hey what would really get the attention of the older demographic that grew up playing our games? Make Simon look like an 80's action star again? Do it."

women like shanoa cant be warriors
they need to be in my house taking care of our child

Shut up Albus.

The SH games were minimum risk projects for Konami. All they did was sell their license to a bunch of H1 bidders.

And it worked. Too bad it wasn't used for anything more substantial. I liked Grimoire of Souls, but it was held back by being mobile and a gutted gacha game with several promised features not making it in.

Honorary Jostar.

Filtered by the crab I see.

Needs a port to Steam and consoles, it's trapped on Apple arcade.

No

Yeah, though I don't know how the mobile elements would translate there. I hope if they ever release it again, it gets balanced and the promised features restored.

promised features restored.

Back when it was a full gacha game, it had online features that basically made it Harmony of Despair 2.

I think it depends on when the exclusivity deal with Apple expires.

I remember a Switch version was leaked, though nothing came of it.

chink gacha game

I remember it leaving development hell about a year ago. Crazy that it might actually come out, a Castlevania gacha game is sure to appeal to newfags.

It will die within months. No one cares about it.

Put in the gooner elements like characters in bathing suits and Konami has a fucking cow they can milk.

The DMC gacha, which is the definition of low effort garbage is still alive, so maybe the Castlevania one will do better, I saw gameplay of it from 2020 and it looked decent enough.

You are now imagining Charlotte and Shanoa in summer wear.

fixes everything

no japanese version music

Nuh-uh.

chink gacha game

for a series with a whole bunch of skeleton enemies and bosses

nigga.jpg - 1080x1080, 178.92K

You should see what they did to Death.

death.png - 1086x864, 791.25K

He doesn't know about the monster girls

God bless them.

Shaft and Death fused to create Sheath

Shaft is still in it.

shaft.png - 2158x1108, 2.2M

God bless them.

My brother, literally impossible. They live in Dracula's Castle.

Lol funny that they didn't make him a skeleton due to Chinese censorship.

How do we domesticate monster girls?

Damn my nigga Shaft rocking the goatee.

Check the rom info. It's compatible with the Japanese version as well.

Also funny that they predicted the Orlok design for the new Nosferatu film with their take on Olrox. Complete with hat and moustache.

One of the better redesigns.

Cosplay as Dracula, they wouldn't risk disobeying the master of the castle.

Soma should've just done that in Dawn of Sorrow, granted the castle in that game wasn't Dracula's. He would've gotten some in the harem room.

Ah shit, missed that. I'll have to play through this then.

Julius Belmont walks in and sees Soma in full Dracula drip.

Uh oh.

Can he resist his Belmont urges?

Finished playing the GBA games recently. Reminds me of when I went through Touhou series and how each iteration tried new gimmicks. I think Aria of Sorrow had the most fun gimmick with Mega Man style with the weapon copy skill.

I thought rhdn "ended support" and stopped allowing new uploads?

Aria of Sorrow's still my favourite game in the franchise.

They came back. Don't know what made that happen.

Peak trio

Aria
Portrait of Ruin
SoTN

Amazingly Good must play

OOE.

Very good

Bloodstained
Circle of the moon.

Good

Dawn of Sorrow. Harmony of Dissonance (god tier OST that the GBA does no justice)

NOOOOOOOO THE PLAYSTATION GAME ISN'T AVAILABLE ON OTHER PLATFORMS???

Nice choices.

3rd party exclusives are dumb.

Square Enix that painful lesson.

Castlevania is dead.

I loved The Lecarde Chronicles II, though my save file got corrupted when I was on the final boss, so I never got to beat it. Chronicles of the Wolf looks fun, too.

Happy Birthday to you and Aria of Sorrow tomorrow.

Yeah both of these look great.

I love how everyone is trying to remake Simon's Quest.

Lecarde chronicles was janky but chronicles is well polished. You should try the demo.

I'll check it out, thanks.

chronicles is well polished

I meant chronicles of the wolf here btw.

What would a Castlevania revival look like? Also, what studio would you want Konami to outsource to for smaller releases? For me, it's Artplay and Binary Haze Interactive.

Don't worry, I know what you meant.

Thanks. It's a happy coincidence because Aria is honestly one of my favorite games of all time.

No problem and same, Aria of Sorrow is fantastic.

I would do ungodly things for a castlevania DLC for the next mainline SMT game.
I can't believe it hasn't been done yet outside of SMT synchronicity.
I feel there is a pretty big cross section of people who love castlevania and also love SMT.

If Devil May Cry got one back in the day, it's not impossible.

Artplay is a fucking ass studio with zero talent when it especially comes to art direction which is a key part in metroidvanias. They hire UE devs for a reason anon. I would rather like a new castlevania to be made by team ladybug instead.

team ladybug

What games did they make?

Touhou luna nights
Deedlit in wonder labyrinth
BLADECHIMERA
all of them are pretty solid and miles better than the garbage that is bloodstained in my opinion.

Touhou luna nights

Deedlit in wonder labyrinth

Cool, I hear great things about those games. I'm a touhoufag, so that's a bonus.

I saw footage, but I'll probably get it when I buy a new PC or a Steam Deck.

I feel there is a pretty big cross section of people who love castlevania and also love SMT.

I mean, the two franchises already have a pretty big cross section in terms of subject matter, too.

Bestiaries, too.

They still haven't rereleased THE game. What is even the holdup at this point?

Which one?

SOTN remaster/remake is inevitable

they also made SMT synchronicity which is free

smt synchro.jpg - 1600x900, 192.79K

Bluepoint Games kinda teased it, but they were probably just fucking with people.

I played all those games and Bloodstained is better. You also forgot to mention Touhou and Deedlit are like 10 hour games because Team Ladybug gets bored easily and ends their games super early.

I wonder if they'll get new voice actors again. Did people like Alucard's voice in Dead by Daylight?

because Team Ladybug gets bored easily and ends their games super early.

It's a matter of budget. It's a small team and they can't afford to make bigger games.

bloodstained is better

In your opinion.

IGA said he wanted to release a new game this year, it could be Bloodstained 2 or hoping against hope, Konami got him back for a new game since he said he's willing to work with them again.

10 hours isn't enough for this faggot

IGAvanias are about that long too, with way more retarded filler like inverted castles and recolored hard mode portraits so what the fuck is even your point?

I personally dont want iga making a new castlevania. He is definitely a one trick pony and he'll end up doing the same thing.

Who would you want then? Not trying to start shit, just curious.

We already knew for years that they've been working on RotN2, it'll 100% be shown this year (but when?), who knows if they'll be able to actually release it this year though.

RotN2 2025.jpg - 1080x1140, 131.02K

he'll end up doing the same thing

And that's a good thing. If you want a different game then there's plenty of other franchises for you.

Iida said he did most of the work he had to before departing because of his cancer diagnosis, so yeah, pretty much.

The real witchery is how she keeps those pits impossibly clean. Hell, her whole body and that giant mane clean and pretty, when her sole focus is to study arcane arts to protect the world from evil. This is some most Common superpower bullshit how are these combatants always giving Dracula who has literal demonic Powers and a fucking castle full of demons to service him backing him up, for personal beauty? It's not fair

I feel like a remake can only fuck things up. I'd rather just have the original game but on steam, like the rest of the 2d series (minus rondo) already got. Though, unlike the other games, there's 3 versions of SOTN with meaningful diffrences between them, and picking any of the three over the others would anger at least some people.
OG Voice Acting is still the best.

I would like someone actual old school konami talent like say axelay Ueda back from retirement. He made castlevania X68000 and it was just perfection.

Might be cool, but I see Konami pivoting away from 2D games, which is a shame, really.

And that's a good thing

No it's not. Don't know what your thought process is here but Iga ran the franchise to the ground by making the same game over and over again.

just two more weeks

I want to believe

Igavanias are absolutely not 10 hours long. 10 hours is generous for the team ladybug games too. If actually try to beat them quickly instead of taking your time and exploring they're more like 5-7 hour games.

By making good games? Faggots with shit taste leaving is not my problem, RotN's Kickstarter was one of the most successful vidya ones at the time and even after release they sold 2 million copies, the demand for these types of games is objectively there.

2 million copies

Crazy how Bloodstained outsold Lords of Shadow, the highest selling Castlevania game. Hell, the first Curse of the Moon game sold 500k, no idea how the second one sold, though.

It doesn't have to be a good game to sell. It was just the right game at the right time, capitalizing on the demand surge after hollow knight's success. Bloodstained isn't even better than the DSvanias for a fact.

implying the DSvanias were bad to begin with

lmao, lol even

In a just world I could just choose between them like different Steam launch options but I know how this goes. Shit just won't be included. Adult Maria mode never ever.

In a just world, we'd have Konami release the definitive edition of SotN. At least we have the mod.

exploration is complete shit in those games
filled with retarded puzzles that you still have to solve in end game

Good point. I also think that the kickstarter was overhyped by the expectations. I know plenty of the original backers being disappointed after release. The success of the next game in the bloodstained series will truly determine whether it was a fluke or not.

IGA has shown to take criticism very well and to heart, so chances are Bloodstained 2 will be much better than the first game. Quality is one thing, though and it won't guarantee a great financial performance.

You're right, my bad. My disappointment and low expectations for Konami has even seeped into my hopes and dreams.
Unfortunate.

Given their track record with Castlevania, it's a mixed bag, they're doing everything in their power to remind us that it still exists, but we still have no new game.

I remember when people were saying the early build looked like dogshit and IGA made an entire video addressing it by taking the criticism to heart and showing the changes.

Indeed.

I backed it and, despite being a bit annoyed that they didn't keep the base fucking goal of native Linux support (their asses were pulled from the fire by parity Proton support thanks to Valve), I thought Bloodstained did quite well. People may have sperg'd about minor complaints like the KS backer portraits (which you could literally turn off in the game settings. Not really an issue) but overall it came out solid. This doesn't mean there were no issues - I admit I still don't think the "3rd character" should have been a fucking crossover as opposed to a custom in-universe character when all the other crossover content was treated as extra (ie parts of the castle), that there should have been more in depth Zangetsu mode with its own story and other mechanics progression far deeper than a "richter mode", or having a perhaps Harmony of Despair style co-op expansion mode

Its worth it to note that the game on its original EA or launch was vastly different from what features and overall quality would come with patches and updates; even the 'base' game functions and aesthetics before we get into secondary or tertiary modes. I have massive fucking respect for IGA's willingness to update the game for free with lots of new content both including ALL the KS stretch goals without bitching out and claiming

Prease Undlstandaru, we have to charge $15 for every new content update, it take so long

which makes me want to support his current and future endeavors. Bloodstained RotN got so many updates both KS stretch goals plus other stuff. Though if there was issues of cost in the dev process, I wouldn't have minded if he would have charged for other stuff not on the KS stretch goal list - like the various costume (including tiddy succubus, magical girl etc) stuff he eventually came up with, earlier. Paying for the Dominique's Quest stand alone expansion was just fine. Likewise, the Curse of the Moon series were great ; hope RotN2 and CotM3 thrive

Wasn't bloodless the third character and crossover girl a seprate 4th? She's also just a plotless richter mode, though.

I think Bloodless was a cool bonus they just added instead of the planned third character.

I remember there being cut dialogue in the game's files where Dominique kills Miriam in the end of her cancelled mode. Getting an entirely new campaign was better, though.

Yeah. I didn't mind them adding Bloodless and would have been cool to see more depth to her or other bosses. I was really disappointed that Zangetsu didn't get a more comprehensive mode with more variation in mechanics and his own abilities, changed story elements . I mean what he did get and the new ending boss was a good start but it could have been so much more. I think there could have been other playable characters from Johnathan (or some of the others added to the CotM / CotM2) to of course everyone waiting for Gebel but if they're keeping him for the sequel and do it right I'll allow it; still if they had alternate 2nd/3rd Quest style routes with story bits, new or varied bosses for Zangetsu, Dominique/Johnathan, Bloodless and/or other "bad guys/bosses" in a full campaign besides the Boss Revenge mode, where you could see their perspective and fight the heroes etc, and maybe Gebel it would have been fantastic; I'd have paid for those DLCs

Yeah, I was annoyed with it being cut but I am pleased that the Classic Mode II Simon's Quest style route had such depth to it, so that makes up for it a bit at least.

We'll get Alucard mode in Ritual of the Night 2 before we'll get an actual new castlevania the way things are going.

which you could literally turn off in the game settings.

what? where? since when?

Honestly, I wouldn't mind that. I'm still salty that O.D wasn't the last playable character.

Yeah, I was annoyed with it being cut but I am pleased that the Classic Mode II Simon's Quest style route had such depth to it, so that makes up for it a bit at least.

Same, it was probably the best possible outcome, really.

man they ruined her design. Faggot shit.

THE PLAYSTATION GAME

You mean the Konami one that also released on the Sega Saturn and Xbox 360? Snoyggers are the biggest retards on the board confirmed.

Mobile, too, twice for some reason.

I don't remember when, but I think after the popularity of the mod? Though some still prefer the mod version that adds a lot of Kojima artwork instead, but still keeps some of the portraits like Iga's, the cat portrait, and those of in-universe/lore characters.

Alucard mode

Everyone pretty much assumes that is why they're holding back Gebel, and they better do it well after all this time. As you see from his shapeshift and CV3 Alucard abilities in Curse of the Moon / CotM2, he's obviously being set up as an Alucard mirror character, so I hope when he comes to RotN2 he feels a lot like SotN Alucard and uses similar aesthetic/armor, equipped weapon, spells, abilities etc.. with tweaks that fit in the RotN series lore. Wonder if they'll make him European Sword and Shield Guy to contrast Zangetsu as Katana Guy.

New Castlevania itself

Two things Konami could do that isn't even a fuckload of "new" work.

Port SOTN to PC via Steam and modern consoles . Include all the best features of all versions including Saturn, add new content + QoL features etc

Given how the Advance Collection and Dominus Collection added QoL and other features to the "best versions" of the included games, its not out of the question. The issue is why its taken this long.

Harmony of Despair Remade

All they need is to release and update a new custom Harmony of Despair game as paid title, no gacha mobile crap. They can even sell DLC new campaigns and character packs if they take the time to make them well. A fuckload of modders have been trying to recreate it
steamcommunity.com/groups/castlevaniahd

Use the Discord link as sadly that's where the updated version , now called

Castlevania Unity HD

seems to reside, but its being worked on. There is new and custom content beyond the original, but because someone fucked off in the past they're missing certain chapters and characters, but its under development and hopefully will come back.

Think they'll bring him back for the sequel? He was done dirty in the final game, so I personally like his appearance in the Curse of the Moon canon better.

Soma is a lame ass design to let it be the final character. Im ready for a fresh new 2d reboot for switch 2

Wonder if they'll make him European Sword and Shield Guy to contrast Zangetsu as Katana Guy.

Gebel wields the Eternal Blue greatsword in his boss fight, but he wields it like a one handed sword.

for switch 2

lmao

switch 2

lol

Not him, but am I missing something?

So whos gonna be the MC for Bloodstained 2
Miriam again? Everyone else kinda died by the end of the game

I want a new time period and a Soma Cruz ripoff.

The Curse of the Moon-verse is fascinating to me because I don't know what it's supposed to be. Obviously, from a meta sense, it's the Classicvania to RotN's IGAvania, but from an in-universe perspective is it just meant to be a different telling of the story? It's odd.
Either way, here's hoping we get a 32-bit follow up. The CotM duology is the peak of Bloodstained so far and I want more of it.

From what I can gather, the Curse of the Moon continuity has all the characters as heroes of some sort, though I'm not sure if 1 and 2 take place in the same continuity. Honestly, same, I want more Curse of the Moon stuff as well.

Isnt that just Miriam, atleast gameplay wise

shanoa's game is the only castlemania i have beaten
just liked it the most i guess

I meant plot and appearance wise.

plot wise

how would they even do that considering there is no Drac expy in Bloodstained?

Probably just use Bael or make a new character.

I hope I'm wrong, but probably Dominique.

The only reason why I got into Castlevania was because of the Vampire and Horror theme. Now they have dropped all that there's 0 reason to keep up with their shitty IPs. Rest in peace just like Metal Gear.

Nice armpits!

I havent played the DLC but isnt she still evil by the end of it?

She manages to halt her curse but gets amnesia and is found by Miriam in the end.

Still find her average.

The gothic horror aesthetic died along with classicvanias, and arguably sotn still had some. I really liked those.

Bro is not even aware of the Konami redemption arc

It's not the 2010's anymore.

Haunted Castle Revisted brought it back.

then maybe they can make the new game portrait of ruin style and have both of them playable

DOMINIQUE!
MIRIAM!

Only ones I played where the six GBA/DS ones and SotN
Are any others good?

Maybe, though they might want to bring in a dude this time.

Haunted castle revisited was kino.

They're good, but way different, so expect that. The PS2 games are more similar.

I reccomend you try the first one to see if you'd like the other classicvanias since they all play similar to it

chadstride.gif - 288x256, 13.75K

No

made for BWC

github.com/GianImpr/Castlevania-Remnants-of-Darkness

youtube.com/watch?v=96KYXEq0hG8

There's a demo out for this new fan game, which stars Hector, the Devil Forgemaster of the PS2 era games fame, but its a 2D Igavania type.

There are also some other pretty neat fan games out there, including the Lecarde Chronicles, Castlevania Chronicles, and the aforementioned Castlevania Unity HD

I want a Curse of Darkness rerelease/remaster just to fuck with newfags.

So why do people pretend this didn't come out LAST YEAR?

oh bro there hasn't been a new game in a million years

making a new one now is unfathomable bruh

Come on now.

Doomers gonna doom.

What would you guys want out of the next Castlevania game?

I'm just here for the vampire hunting girls.
The vampire/monster girls too.

The 1999 game.

I just want a port of Harmony of Despair with multiplayer, all the content that was released and if possible (but not necessary) new stuff. The summer that game came out was the best summer of my life. I moved out, got laid and got a gf and just partied and played Castlevania all summer.

Nice.

They should also use the PS3 version as the base for a potential port because it had local couch co-op while the 360 version didn't.

Bundle it with Grimore of Souls and call it the "Grimore Collection" and bam, easy money on the table for Konami.

Remake of Lament, since it's the cornerstone for the entire mythos.

Then maybe work up to the events of 1999.

multiplayer f2p gacha with souls-like elements

Multiple playable characters
All the best CV games have more than one PC (3, Rondo, Bloodlines, Portrait, etc)

So Moonlight Rhapsody?

playing HoD with Anon Babble again

Comfy. I choose to believe that this future will come true.

A game set between Lament of Innocence and Dracula's Curse where you play as Dracula during his rise to power.

Mostly because it's a """""Remake""""" of another game that was included as a bonus in a collection where the DS games were the main star. It's so far removes from the original that it's basically a new game that happens to have the same plot, but the avarage joe who didn't play it because they only cared about the ds games in the collection isn't going to know that.

You're aware of the Unity port that's sadly incomplete, right? It still highly playable and has some new content and mods that were added to it. Its released under

Castlevania Unity HD

but sadly only via a Discord (and the download is some Google Drive link FFS). Basically one of the original devs fucked off or got C&D's or whatever with the source code, so they're missing a few levels and characters and can only add smaller stuff; part of reason why any fan project needs to be fully open source to keep this shit from happening - especially if its using any assets that some litigious as fuck company could be upset about.

The current maintainers even have a bounty if someone manages to make a new remake with all the content which is nice, but I think they're getting very little exposure if you have to get into the Discord sekrit club to even know the game exists really, but still - it seems to have a fair amount of interest. If a bunch of Anon Babbleermin could help to decompile, update, expand or remake the whole fucking thing in Godot or something you could get your wish, but at least you can play now either via Unity HD or you can play the original PS3 version with RPCS3 online with others.

It should've been released as its own thing.

Mark my words, if Konami produces a Castlevania anime under its new animation studio, it will be a Grimoire of Souls adaptation or a tie-in to Moonlight Rhapsody.

They're retarded. If there any slight hope of a new castlevania logic would have it that it would be on the latest console. Fucking brainrot morons

Her design is OK. The shards on the skin is a nice concept but I fucking hate tats because of modern 304's and the shards look like tats.

Super fast loading times though.

40th anniversary next year, expect a collection, probably of the 3D games.

People don't care about the 3D games enough to warrant a collection. They'll drop the N64 games on NSO eventually and that's it.

To celebrate the anniversary I can see them doing a remake since that seems to be their MO now (Contra, Silent Hill, MGS). Hopefully they won't be fucking stupid enough to try and remake SotN, and they'll go with a reimagining with more potential instead, like Simon's Quest or Legends.

Chud alert

People don't care about the 3D games enough to warrant a collection.

Because a lot of people don't know they exist/can't access them because they are not easily available.

Legends

If they remake Legends, it will appeal to newfags since it has a cute female protag and Alucard as a love interest, bonus points if he's playable.

What's with the double posting?
