bucky is like how mcree was before his nerf when he was just the all round best dps in the game for every single map and comp. they tried shortening his range like they did for mcree but it didn't even do anything. add on top of this that rivals is very dive heavy and he's just the best character to pick all the time.

He's just an all-rounder character with no explicit counters. Star-lord is kind of the same IMO

The slow projectile speed and microscopic mag size of your primary keeps it relatively balanced imo, you have to be right up everyone's asshole to get those big results and as a duelist you are flimsy as fuck..
But when Bucky snowballs he snowballs HARD, I will admit that. Buckys can get downright disgusting when the planets align right (or they're just really good at landing headshots)

Cloak and Dagger or Invisible Woman's ults are explicitly designed to fuck Star Lord in the mouth (metaphorically speaking)
But yes I agree on Star Lord and Bucky being all rounders which can make them super annoying to deal with.

I don't think ults working on a character really count as a counter, since they only come up once every few minutes. Star-lord isn't going to be having much trouble with Invis outside of her ult. And it's not like Bucky's ult doesn't become significantly harder to get value out of if a support ults either.
I find them both about the same. The sole match-up I prefer playing Bucky instead is against a good Magik

Genuinely infuriating. I feel like the clones shouldn't recharge his ult. Just adds to the ridiculous snowballing.
The real problem is that I wish there was another support that was actually fun to play and not kind of ass like Mantis or Adam.

Well it sometimes feels like its the case sometimes when you accidentally blow LEGENDARY just to have nullified because Cloak and Dagger decided to leave a bunch of red stink on the ground just as you pop it.

I personally like playing Mantis when its time to play a Support. The damage boost ability comes in clutch more than once for my team, even if it doesn't land me as many kills as I'd like (I blame the projectile speed, the damage and headshot multiplyer on her attack are fine and can do stupid amount of hurt real quickly if you can get a good bead on a fucker's head)

True. I'm hoping he's fun. I actually main tank, but have a ton of hours on Loki because he's probably my second favorite overall, never gets banned, and is the only support I like for when I have to play it. Hopefully Ultron's a good alternative for when the other team has Bucky or Moon K***ht.

I like Mantis, too, but from my understanding she's kind of mediocre right now. Has to but in too much effort for less returns than easier healers, which having really weak burst healing. Which is why I mentioned her in that second part. It's the same reason I don't play Adam more. If I'm playing a healer other than Loki (who I enjoy most) it's because I'm trying to win, and Mantis and Adam don't really serve that as well as just turning into a gay furry or a K-pop idol.

It's interesting that OW is mentioned in every marvel thread. While you brought it up, it's also that overwatch still has more players and twitch viewers. Interested to see how things will look in a few months.

Because it's on steam, and most people play on pc. Not console. And if you bother looking at sites that try to track what games console players are playing, more people are still playing rivals than overwatch.

I don't know anyone that plays OW and doesn't do it through bnet and all tracker sites still put OW numbers over apex and rivals, though. To be kind and clear though, I play rivals, not OW, but I do find the OW mindbreak phenomenon really funny and worth some trolling. Funnier considering it's still the most popular hero shooter.

Taskmaster was in the Black Widow movie but that was a weird fake-out female Taskmaster similar to The Mandarin in Iron-Man 3 that no one really liked. Hence why they just killed that version off.
