No, they've dug their heels into the "we're gonna be wacky and unbalanced" soil and as early as season 2 it's backfiring on them. Turns out people don't actually like playing competitive games against broken heroes.
Overwatch figured this out years ago but Rivals think they can pick up the slack and earn the goodwill of the people who left OW for "balancing for comp" and now those same people are leaving Rivals like they did OW.

S2 is a bit boring because of the meta but also the hype of hero shooters seem to die fast. It's like fighting games, where casuals love it early then can't stand the grind to improve, get beaten up and they give up putting time into it. The diamond form is broken, Grant Morrison used her to sub in for a dead Colossus so she basically got his powers except she doesn't have his density so she can be judo'd.
She actually doesn't have H2H fighting experience, diamond form is just that broken with the durability & strength boost so most of her offense is telepathy.
