- Die of 'natural causes': chroma returns to Aline (because she created them)

So the Nevrons are Clea helping out Renoir by denying Aline her chroma. When she eventually runs out of chroma and can't paint any more, she'll have to leave.

And besides, it's not like the expeditions could stop Aline or Renoir in the first place. They're Gods and can't be killed, only removed from the canvas with Painter power (which Maelle has).

Lune comes across like she should be the girlboss in the intro and most games would have made her like that, but afterwards it's pretty obvious that he's a better leader than her. He just needed a little push and she was there to give it to him. But when she tries to interrogate Maelle when she's freaking out, it's Gustave who steps in and fixes things, which makes sense because he knows her really well and comes off like a more idealist and sensitive person while Lune might have a touch of aspergers. Characters give and take a lot but stay consistent to their personality in a pretty grounded way.

You can complete the game in less than 30 hours, probably less than 25. I did it in 27, and felt that was a reasonable length if you just do primarily nothing but the main missions and only a handful of the side content. The need for precise parries and dodges (though really it's just the parries that matter) didn't mesh well to me. If I'm playing a turn based combat game, I don't really want QTE's in between.

Either way, solid 8/10. One of the better games of this year.

- I hate the white fog+bloom there is everywhere, it started to make me sick after a while.
- Movement could be better, it's a small studio so it's fine for now.
- Music is really nice, but nothing that sticks out.
- There are some really dogshit maps that look the bland and samey, and some others that look nice, but the bloom shit ruins most of them.
- Combat has a lot of potential but QTEs every single time gets boring, they need to tone it down a lot if they ever make a new game.
- The story is interesting but kinda falls off at the end and the writing dialogue is mid, maybe in french flows better?

Overall i had fun but midway I kinda started to get bored and rushed to the end. They definitely have good ideas and hope they keep polishing their techniques.

Story is unironically the best difficulty because.
1. it lets you learn all the parry times faster and once you learn them nothing is hitting you anyway so the difficulty becomes irrelevant.
2. the game doesn't have anywhere near the variety of something like Mario & Luigi battles so it gets repetitive and bland.
3. Perfecting fights is less rewarding and feels more pointless in an RPG as apposed to an action game.
