I hate using Godot, but I hate using Unity/UE more. Too much fucking overhead of the latter two because they want to cater to AAA crowds.

Was standing atop of the toilet ready to hang myself, I finally came to a revelation that allowed me to add in a cool feature to the Zmeian Compendium where, when hovering over a list of locations in a region, said location appears on the regional map. With this done, I am adding in some "photographs" to each location page. This is a placeholder example.

Anyone got some resources for building assets for environments? I'm talking making maps that don't look like they're a basic bitch heightmap terrain with everything clipping through it.

working on the ai for flying enemies so this bitch can move around. Cool thing is that most of the ai for the walking enemies does work for the flying ones so it's a matter of overriding some navigation methods and calling it a day. Excited to finish coding ai stuff so I can start mass producing enemies and working on other features.

This week I reworked the LookAt IK targeting system to better track moving targets.
Then ixed some ledge grab detection issues and improved the input handling.
And also added cloth physics to the bunny suit ears and redid some environment textures.

Today, I'm gonna try to finish the remaining shop sprites.

Made a render for SkySanctum Palace for the Zmeian Compendium; this is better known as the place where you fight the second boss.

I like the glow on those mushrooms. Could you make it so they also light up the environment near them a little bit? I think that'd add some more color to the scene.

I think that's better but maybe still too dark yeah, although it's hard to judge with just one screenshot. When it comes to lighting up a dark scene, I like making the lights light a wide area but without too much energy, while placing them away from each other so they don't blend together.

yeah, black eyes with a red iris and dark slim lips. Also want to rework the wings a little bit, think they look a little bit too big. Plus I still have to add the jiggles! Very important detail.
