so the current identity growth pack gives you enough tickets to take a new unit from 1 to 50, with about 4k exp extra. with the upgraded pack for the next season, the total exp goes from 170000 to 210000, and since it currently takes 166084 to max a unit, that means there's 43916 extra exp in the pack, which splitting the difference between 5 levels puts each level at 8783 exp. assuming they still give you an extra ticket, we're probably looking at 8156 per additional level which means my guesstimates were right

I decided to try doing a bleed setup for the RR before the season ended and I've grown an appreciation for the forced bleed fights.
Sure you can take the buff that removes count and makes it a non-issue but managing bleed on-self and enemies ended up being more interesting for me.
As it added a lot more focus to clash order to prevent ending up with a high stack/count.

I used bleed team with focus on Bloodfiend and even got low enough turn count for banner and I didn't try to get that

Perhaps a properly optimized team (or just a full 12 member team that can accept some sacrifices can just blitz through the bleed IDK.
But otherwise taking the buff that removes 3 bleed count on allies every turn or spamming rodion's counter can negate the need for bleed management.

Rodion's burn ego is actually pretty good though
since it mostly eats wrath and there's plenty of that to spare on burn teams which means its pretty spammable

Sinclair Cavernous is a great ZAYIN overall and always useful to have, might get even more use whenever he gets a sinking ID
Lantern's just alright, yeah. it's nice healing.
Impending Day is a top tier EGO for the passive alone.
Hex Nail is about the same as Lantern.
Dimension Shredder is a good EGO. Not top tier but it's above average.
Cavernous Hong Lu is a top tier one as well.
Hong Lu's base is pretty nice. Don't remember if he does team SP heal or just himself but the AOE is good either way. I don't use it often since I don't use Hong Lu often but that's besides the point.

I'm NTA, i do use zayins only when going base IDs only. Actually it's true that it's harder to use them in story than in other content, but it's not that bad. You just have to make the most of the few status effect you get/inflict, and all the passives.

That might be another reason why, 5 levels is basically +2 clash power and both +15% damage and -15% damage taken. If all of your units are lvl 50 then that's a pretty huge buff (I can only tell Faust is because her lvl 45 hp cap is 215, others are hard to tell because the hp bar doesn't really display evenly)

Yeah, all of which compete in slots with burn EGO or on sinners without good burn IDs, with the exception of Fluid Sac Faust. But besides that, the best burn IDs are pretty deficient in gloom/gluttony/sloth which are primary components in every healing EGO except for Hex Nail Rodion which competes with 4MF and Indicant Rodion.

Also, I noticed Indicant doesn't specify "other" allies in its description while Pursuance does, and Hex Nail specifies "self and other". Has anyone noticed if it self-heals?

Every healing EGO requires 4 of a sin you can only get on a single sinner's skill 1

Requiring 7 turns MINIMUM to generate enough resources for a single usage in a fight, assuming you don't replace any of your shitty skill 1s with an EGO or defense, unless you specifically choose cinq don + liu ryo for the extra gluttony and rely on Lantern Sinclair

In MDs since skills 2 and 3 are prioritized it's common skill 1 never gets used on 2-3 turn fights

Whereas Indicant's Trial uses the most common burn team resources and can comfortably be used on turn 3 (three) on just about any burn team

The game is easy enough that you CAN run other healing EGO on your burn teams, but it's not even a remote comparison how much better Indicant fits in. Especially once you consider burn units have a significant tendency to non-clashable counters at the moment meaning burn teams are much worse at damage control and have much more use for healing than other teams

Rolling like shit is a big negative true, but I've never liked press EGO to win clash anyways. I don't think forcing resonance on it is necessary, as you only need one other wrath skill to hit max healing, and one more after that will get you 2 birdcage, and most burn units have wrath defense skills if you do need to force.
At least birdcage persists between turns, so if you really want to you can try to dump 2 trials in a row and hit 4 birdcage so it it's in effect for 4 turns total (3 res trial -> 2 birdcage 6 res trial -> 4 birdcage -> 2 birdcage -> 1 birdcage). And provided you maintain enough wrath resources in store for Liu Sang's passive, the SP cost of two consecutive trials isn't even that infeasible. It's not the most insane effect in the world though, I just like having shit that does something special and can be built around instead of stat sticks + fluid sac
