Which franchises dropped the ball the most?
Biggest franchise failures?
games that graze the bottom with their toes at "2" aren't dropping the ball, they never had control in the first place
Halo dropped the ball 3 fucking times in a row
Halo is the poster child of franchises that were raped to death by retarded suits
mass effect gets a slight pass as essentially no matter what they put out after 3, no one was really going to care all that much. halo otoh feels effectively dead.
the sales numbers don't reflect it for a lot of them, but i'd say kingdom hearts, silent hill, dead space, dook.
The death of halo was the death of xbox.
Halo, it's impressive how 343 and microsoft managed to fuck up three times in a row, what a bunch of fucking retard + the shitty tv adaptation, it's still my favourite franchise but anything past Reach is not canon in my head
Of those three, I'd say Overwatch. You don't like newer Halo or ME games, the old ones are still available. You can't go back to OW1.
Battlefield went from being widely appreciated to an object of ridicule.
Besides the nigger, 5 was better than infinite, you can’t convince me warsone assault wasn’t the best shit ever
Anyone who says Halo is a mentally ill retard. Halo fucked itself several times and is still getting games, if anything, it's breaking the AAA 10-year tradition and will have multiple games in the future. The other games went woke, went broke, and died a horrible death. Halofaggots need a bullet for being as gay as they literally are.
I don’t know a single person with PlayStation
You might as well just kill yourself bc it means you’re either a nigger a favela monkey or a chink so you’re effectively not human anyways
You're right, Xbox died in 2009, same year as the Halo series.
Of course it'll still get games, that doesn't mean it hasn't effectively killed most of the hype surrounding the franchise. It's the flagship of Xbox, it will continue to get games even if it loses them money.
In what way, if you said multiplayer, I'll agree with you even if I don't care about MP games or Halo's MP but if you're talking about campaign, eat shit, tranny.
Halo went from like the biggest normie shooter ever to nothing
It's the flagship of Xbox
That doesn't really exist anymore, he's just a mascot of the Xbox brand now and Microsoft has several of those face characters now.
Good, fuck normies
Halo 5 made money. 343 and MS just got spooked by all the gay criticism about spartan abilities and req packs and decided to fuck up a winning formula with the next game. Now, youtubers jizz themselves over battle passes.
Halo 5 was ass but there was still clear hope for the next game. Infinite killed it for good.
Halo 5 sucked shit, modernize Halo properly or put it in the grave. If I wanted COD Halo edition, I would have just played that COD space game.
Halo 5 was ass but there was still clear hope for the next game
What hope? Most either gave up or nearly gave up on the series.
Monster Hunter Wilds and Tekken 8.
Infinite's trailers got millions of views
That was because they dropped whatever shit they were going for with Halo 5 and returned mostly to Halo's previous art style that defined it. Infinite's campaign, itself, didn't kill all hope, it was Xbox's and 343I's sheer incompetence. Microsoft Corp is finally stepping in and setting everything straight with their first party games and their gaming division.
Halo 5 made money
That's why they made sure Infinite was nothing like it
It's genuinely insane, Halo is so fucking dead that 343 fags are trying to push this narrative that Halo was NEVER popular in any way as some weird of coping with the fact that 343 killed one of the most recognizable IPs in gaming, when was the last time you saw something like that?
Yeah battlefield went from being a legit COD competitor and then it shat the bed hard
Wrestling
They're stupid for assuming Halo wasn't popular but you're stupid for thing popularity meant good things. Halo went to shit because it was popular, too popular. I hate when things become popular because I always know its fate.
*thinking
What? I'm just using popularity as a way to measure how badly they fucked up
Sometimes I see it with DC comics, like this upcoming Superman movie is probably gonna flop if it gets shit reviews, some people on Anon Babble will pretend nobody ever liked Batman just cause he’s struggling a little too, but I can’t really think of too many other Anon Babble examples
That's what I said. There was hope for the game AFTER Halo 5 shat the bed. Now that Infinite did so too nobody cares about the shitty ue5 remake or anything involving halo
I'm kind of glad they did, I saw where Halo was going, Bungie already kind of lost it after Halo CE's campaign but after Halo 3, they started making Halo more like COD and other shooters to the point of even adding brown filters. Microsoft fully takes control and the first thing they do is go the whole nine yards with copying COD and other crappy modern shooters. I knew it was over. Things were made worse when Microsoft decided that Halo WAS Xbox and other franchises got put on the side just so Microsoft could keep wasting money on Halo. I'm glad the wasted $600 million budget for Halo Infinite was a wake-up call for them when it comes to gaming.
They'll care once they see it, it's basically a retelling of Halo CE but continues after the ring blows up to bridge the gap between Halo 1 and 2, it's basically a new game, not the same game from 2001. Halo 2 and 3 getting full remakes as well to launch as DLC to this may also help along with a Halo game that takes place after Infinite (it'll be a while for that one). But I do believe Halo is done in terms of multiplayer, not in not getting another one but as in, I don't believe any new Halo MP even in UE5 will be popular. Halo blew its chance at that. I honestly believe it's really over for Halo's multiplayer
Kingdom Hearts III
Dragon age
Assassins creed
Final fantasy
James Bond games
BF is making the biggest comeback now though.
when was the last time you saw something like that?
Final Fantasy
I honestly believe it's really over for Halo's multiplayer
I would play Halo if it didn't have SBMM.
