You can't even set the speed of the fast forward. It's either no limit (which crashes the emulator most of the time) or you have to mash the keybind because it only goes up 10% at a time.

They are both very stable. Most games work nearly perfectly and even support features like 16:9 hacks, 60FPS hacks, and even texture replacement if you're into that sort of thing. Dolphin is generally considered to be the more stable and accurate emulator, but honestly PCSX2 really doesn't lag that far behind. It has nearly all of the features Dolphin has. With game compatibility/playability, you may run into more issues depending on how niche the game you're trying to play is. Basically everything that's popular on PS2 has been fixed, though. Don't come crying to me if Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends Summertime Adventure or whatever the fuck bullshit shovelware you're trying to run doesn't play well on PCSX2.

Hacking a PS2 to use a hard drive is so damn easy. You could even save some money by buying a PS2 with a broken disc drive. lol

1. Not every game plays better on a Switch emulator than a Wii U emulator. BotW, for instance. Plus, there's still no Wind Waker HD port.
2. ares, Mupen64, and RMG all work great for most of the popular 64 games. Though, I suppose it's not like there's tons of games on that system that are worth playing, anyway

Dolphin cant play Rogue Squadron 2 properly so PCSX2.

Can't get a controller to work on dolphin but it runs flawlessly graphics-wise. PCSX2 settings can be tricked out to run on older (2015) hardware so it plays most games perfectly fine though.
