It's not a real hack. Just something to do with getting the information of unencrypted 2FA sms messages. It's completely not serious enough that i wouldn't even change passwords. So video game journalists jumped on a nothing story when Valve said there was no actual breach.

The codes expire after 15 minutes and aren't associated with your account otherwise. Unless someone intercepts them while knowing your account and phone number, he can't do jack shit with them.
