would have been cool to have jackie as a permanent companion. actually, if i think about it, it would have been cool to have recruitable companions from the character cast. not too many, but a few of them, have them really fleshed out, with interactions, dialogues and reactions to everything as you go through the game.

Nope. It's 99% female clothing and hairstyles that you're meant to use to take pictures with the in-game photo system. And like 1% of the mods actually add something to the UI of the game maybe. New weapons? Cars? Enemies? Combat? Quests? Other things? Doesn't exist.

Jackie was cool but they were pretty blatantly trying to pull on your heartstrings with him because they needed you to like him in short order. He's a microwave meal best buddy. Johnny has a nice slower arc where you can come to appreciate his more prickly and combative elements.
I normally don't accuse people of autogynephilia over playing a female character but the dudes with the fully modeled cervix mods on femprotags that are so custom they don't even look like they're from the game anymore are definitely on something.

Yeah it's baffling how undercooked Sandevistan is considering how iconic it became thanks to Edgerunners. You'd think CDPR would've given it more love post-patch, but nah—it's still that one-trick pony for hitting slow-mo and slicing dudes. Meanwhile Quickhackers get entire trees, synergies, and some busted-ass builds. Sandevi bros just get style points and a prayer.

Even the kerenzikov has a ton of support and build options, it's insane how left out the sandy is
Best you've got is tangential synergies, like movement speed buffs technically making it work better, but even then it's got less of that than the berserk does
