Everything from the last thread has remain the same but there are a few updates.
Name is still called New Nintendo Switch 2
The die shrink is now at 3NM using Samsung's 3GAP (3NM) process, down from 5NM that was originally planed, allowing for faster clocks with better battery life (still at 2.2GHz for the CPU and 1.12GHz for the GPU so Nintendo is focusing on battery life and heat instead of raw clocks)
Battery might be solid state (faster charging time, larger mAh on a smaller foot print)
CPU cache on Drake is half of what was expected (128KB L1, 256KB L2 (causing issues with Switch 1 BC), 4MB L3 shared), the new 3NM chip will double the L2 and L3 banks to what the system was supposed to have (128KB L1, 512KB L2, 8MB L3 shared)
GPU cache for the new chip was updated, L1 is the same at 2MB but L2 cache is now at 8MB (originally 4MB)
SOC chip is already tapped out so a release is sooner then later
Ram has been doubled to 24GB, sped up to 9600MTs (TV mode, handheld mode is still at 2133MTs but the bus is now doubled so handheld mode now runs at 132.5GBs) and ram bus has been doubled to 256-Bit, 307.2GBs
DisplayPort bus was updated to 2.1a (Drake was only using 1.4a), meaning the system can handle both 4K (with 10-bit color and 10-bit HDR) and 120Hz at once (no more one or the other) as well as VRR in TV mode
Uses a second USB-C port on the bottom for high speed data (the Switch 2's bottom USB-C port is always in DisplayPort mode, meaning the data bus is always in USB 2.0 mode), meaning USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds (10Gbs) for the dock's USB-A ports and gigabit Ethernet, this also means the dock will change again due to the extra USB port
Storage is still at 1TB (up from 256GB)
100W PSU
Maybe releasing in November of 2026 at $500
