Just Dance and Dance Central were pretty much designed around Kinect, but that's discontinued now, and even the Wii versions of Just Dance have ended production, and Switch players haven't picked up in their place.

Basically, the only way to innovate would be to take another step in terms of body tracking, but that would necessarily mean making it a less of a game and more of a choreography trainer software. And you just couldn't justify a successor to Kinect with just that.

Kinect sensors were for awhile going to be used in every webcam but for some reason that's now gone - it would be better if we had IR sensors in every high res cam, but they could be made otherwise. Hell, you could probably use Valve Index Lighthouses for an alternate system if necessary.
