Ok. It's the worst Bioshock
/discussion

its the worst bioshock but i still kind of love it

regenerating shield

corridor shooter

idiotic story

rewritten 8 times in development

the beta announcement video walkthrough of the city and combat arena better than anything in the actual game

Infinite was going to be one of the best games ever made. Then it was scrapped in development and the scraps were pieced together over the last 1.5 years into something that could be released.

multiverse

physicists wrought this plague upon society and every retard with access to a script added it to their bullshit in the 2010s. No one understood that the multiverse idea is entirely an abstraction for the purposes for mathematical analysis. It's not physicists positing that there's an actual other series of worlds. Of course the most idiotic scriptwriters would and did take the idea literally: omg bro every possibility alive at the SAME TIME WOOOOOW.

Bioshock Infinite is the Callisto Protocal for Irrational.

Watch American Krogan's video on it.

It's nice

whenever the game wasn't being a boring as fuck pretentious movie it was alright

soldiers field was even great, but the game basically ended after that

I thought it was pretty good, but it has the problem common to FPS games of enemies not knowing how to deal with snipers.

i liked all of the levels up to downtown emporia(?) but the elizabeth powers thing is just the same as handwaving bullshit.

lizchads, we're so back

Also the plasmids were whack compared to Bioshock, I didn't even use them.

I think the dumbest thing of all is that Infinite doesn't make sense based on its own rules

breed

i always liked the crow one

I really liked it, but being limited to only 2 weapons at a time sucked.

2>1>infinite

thats a hard one. 2 is way more fun to replay, the combat polish in the suit is good.

Maybe Minerva's Den, but base 2 is just forgettable. The only thing I remember from 2 is the guy with the southern accent and the apartment level in the multiplayer mode. Infinite, for all its flaws, is at least memorable.

It was pretty cool thematically but I didn't see a reason to use it while playing

game comes out

Anon Babble universally loves it

years later brown wignats from reddit flood in

start crying because the city has black people in it

WOW Anon Babble ALWAYS HATED IT YOU NORMIE TOURIST!!! Anon Babble WAS ALWAYS A WHITE NATIONALIST ECHO CHAMBER

every time

Rips apart your kike propaganda

idk if Anon Babble always hated it but it was always a fucking mess of a game.

I thought the plot was actually pretty cool, the gunplay was weaker than the previous entries. The sky hooks were cool, but they didn't make up for only having two guns.

Oh I'm ready. Zoomies have zero taste in games. There I said it.

As much as I love 1 it always becomes a bit of a slog after Ryan. 2's gameplay easily made up for its slightly less compelling story and was more repayable. Honestly never finished infinite and probably never will.

Which is just a reskin of the swarm plasmid from the previous games

Honestly of the "bad 3rd games" discussion DS3 is probably the least offensive. At least when you take the shady EA microtransactions out of it. Still has massive problems like the combat being repetitive and the dumbass cuck arc for Isaac

yeah but its way more useful in infinite's open maps. the game's not so hard that you cant just shoot the target to death about as easily but it's handy sometimes.

Its really good up to when you get to Comstocks House after the ghost mum bossfight, then it takes a massive fucking nosedive into retardation. I like the gunplay though its very easy even on hard difficulty.
All in all, Bioshock 2 is better. Though we must respect Elizabeth's contribution to SFM porn community

2 gun limit

Weapon upgrades are shit

No small exploration

Lots of unskippable cutscenes cause they're arent actually cutscenes

It's just not as good as the previous ones

As time goes on this game only gets better

Absolutely horrendously bad game

Levine is unironically a coward for ignoring incestual undertones

I was there when this game came out. Anon Babble really did not like it. We memed on it hard just like TORtanic and DmC. You really have no idea what you're talking about

Anon Babble always loves it

Stop right there you tourist nigger

I like it, it's a decent shooter, just shouldn't be called Bioshock.

Game may be shit and the plot a bit too far up its own ass, but goddamn, I love the aesthetic of Columbia. I'm a sucker for city in the sky type of things.

Anon Babble universally loves it

This absolutely did not fucking happen with Bioshart Infinite

nobody remembers /bsg/ anymore

Kill the franchise award

I've noticed "bad 3rd games" is a pretty common thing (most of the time). Are there any examples of bad 3rd games?

do you think they were just baiting more elizabeth only spinoffs a la burial at sea?

I hate how the PC ports of Bioshock 1 and 2 are buggy pieces of shit that crash every 5 seconds. I convinced my friend to play Bioshock 2 but despite supposedly implementing the fixes it kept crashing on him. Now he calls it "Bioslop" and I'm still made he can never enjoy it.

00s or early 10s game is considered meh or crap

replay it in the 2020s

shits all over anything from the last 10 years

I recently replayed Infinite and I haven't had thsi much fun with games in a long time. We realyl are in the dark age of vidya

It's not even physicists in general, it's one particular abstraction that isn't even the most popular one among physicists as most tend to go with the copenhagen interpretation. Many worlds interpretation just gets grabbed by pseuds and IFLStards because it's appealing to marvel minded individuals.

all the poor people rebel

all their values and demands dont matter anymore

they just start killing everyone senselessly

what did they mean by that?

poors(browns) are evil

French revolution anon
or the Haitian revolution
or the soviet revolution

I own the OG and Remasters and never had a problem with the Remasters, don't know about OG on modern hardware but the Remasters even run on Steam Deck perfectly

Levine believes in zero tolerance

yes but thats problematic to actually convey in a mainstream game. critics loved this game though for some reason.

personally I loved staring down Elizabeth's corset cleavage as a teen so maybe the critics were on to something

Shows up again and again

Fucks up and lets Isaac escape every time

"I'll get you next time you meddling engineer!"

Embarrassing.

The trailers lied HARD, also, you faggots have already forgotten that this video was released a week before Shitfinite's release

The moment you start hopping dimensions everything falls apart. You spend hours on a quest to get industrial manufacturing equipment to make guns for terrorists and then lament the fact you were never going to be able to move heavy machinery and the people who wanted them were like 15 dimensions back anyway. It gets so retarded so fast that the average player's eyes have just glazed over by the time not-SanderCohen is trying to convince the man currently being hunted by literally the entire city to be his bodyguard.

The MC is not a smart man and that's fun. I like how his entire plan falls apart and he's just too retarded to deal with any of it and keeps making everything worse.

The biggest problem with this game's story is that Daisy's villain arc is too abrupt and comes basically out of nowhere. If they had more time to build up to it and gradually reveal her morals to be at odds with Booker then it would've felt a lot less forced. It looks like that was their original intention judging by the cut E3 gameplay segment where you see Vox Populi about to execute a mailman for working for Comstock and you have a choice of whether to intervene or not. I guess they had to cut a lot of the Vox Populi stuff for time which combined with the story starting to focus more on Elizabeth and her powers and less on Columbia doesn't make the Vox nearly as believable and interesting as villains as the Founders were.

I think the game's story would have been fine as-is if they just included like 20 minutes more gameplay of you fighting alongside the Vox and gradually seeing them do more and more morally questionable things that make Booker and Elizabeth question if it was really a good idea to let these people have free reign to chimp out in the streets, until you come to a point that Booker is forced to oppose them and they turn on him for it. That would be much more believable than the final game's handwave of "durr daisy needs you to be a martyr for the cause so she orders her men to kill you which they do unquestioningly", and it would also be a much more accurate criticism of left-wing populism.

It kinda pissed me off because the game sets him up as someone willing to sell his own child to pay off gambling debts and as being so hardcore that even the Pinkertons kicked him out, and then at every turn he's doing dumb shit and falling for the crocodile tears of a girl he doesn't even know he knows that he literally went there to kidnap for money. When the game starts Booker has been nothing but a monster and then proceeds to accidentally do good only through incompetence.

accidentally do good

he is such a fuckup that he kills america sort of twice lol

Honestly both Comstock and the Vox don't hold a candle to how interesting Andrew Ryan was, or his enemies like Lamb and Fontaine. He himself could have been fleshed out more and that might of helped the momentum of making the Vox more interesting.

Infinite fags are not ready to grow up and discuss actual good games.

How do you get this to play on PC without crashing?

Has Anon Babble matured enough now to have this discussion.
