Although it's an entire recap of the series, I wouldn't fucking recommend it since it's such a huge drag reading through the story that way. I always hated reading though gacha stories due to all the constant filler battles that interrupts every 5 minutes. Traditional JRPGs can get away with it because there's a lot more gameplay to them and it's structured better,fight through an entire dungeon then watch a whole hour of cutscenes as opposed to one battle for 5 minutes of story.
Just watch the anime. It's faster and better than reading through the gacha recap.

Madoka's popular, and people crave content since the last movie left everyone fucking hanging and the new one's coming out at the end of the year.
Really nothing more than that. The game itself is meh, and its gacha implimentation is one of the more predatory ones.
I will say the Oriko story beat the shit out of the OG manga version though, so it's worth playing for that alone.
