Beating the OG version on PS2 is actually really damn HARD, dead serious.
Not only do you have to memorize three entire fucking islands because there is no in-game map and the minimap is near worthless, but there are no checkpoints, you can't insta-restart missions, and a single death or arrest loses you ALL your weapons and equipment.
And the missions themselves are genuinely ballbustingly difficult. There is like 10 separate missions that are an absolute nightmare and each and every one is harder than the complete entirety of GTAIV and GTAV. Turismo, Kingdom Come, Decoy, S.A.M., Espresso 2 Go, A Drop in the Ocean, The Exchange, Grand Theft Aero, Rigged to Blow are all just insane
How did boomers even do it back in the day? Did everyone just use cheats? Did they just fuck around in freeroam and never both beating the game? I play through a lot of tough games, and I was not expecting this much difficulty from GTA3 of all games.
