Pic related has absolutely no faithful translations, just the shitty virtual console and GBA ROMs/ROM ports to NES. I just want a simple Tomato translation patch to the original Famicom version, no shitty balancing reworks or ugly sprite changes for fucks sake. This shit happens to other games too.

I played the famous Ryusui translation for BoF II after hearing for years people going on about how amazing it is and it was the most pretentious verbose garbage I have ever seen.

The rom hacks that rebalance the game are aimed at people who are huge fans of EarthBound specifially that want to also check out Mother 1. Those fans don't tend to like other JRPGs, and especially don't like JRPGs from the NES era, and they can't handle Mother 1 as a result of it being more like a normal JRPG than the other two games in the series.
