What was the last time you experienced buyer's remorse related to video games?
For me last time is still neptunia from late 00s, it was just such a shit game I couldn't even imagine why would people play and praise it unironically.

I actually wanted to buy it, but knowing gust reputation for making only fanservice slop outside of atelier series, I stopped myself.

I hate normalfags so much, bros.

Death stranding.
It's literally an unreal field of grass epic asset store walking simulator where Kojima shows up every now and then to tell you what his favorite bands are.
At least i bought it on sale.

What’s actually going on in this clip?

This piece of shit was so juvenile, and so brainless, that I had an out of body experience. It was just flashing bright colors and sounds that was totally meaningless as an interactive experience. A glowing baby's toy, and I'd fucking paid for it as a grown adult. I was actually embarrassed.
It was the last game I ever got for the Switch and I basically never played it again after that. Between all the "good" Switch games I didn't like and shit like Kirby Star Allies, I'm totally turned off of Nintendo shit.
Nuclear levels of buyer's remorse, I've never felt anything like that before and I never will again

Either he's happy he finally got one or he's depressed he paid that much.

Me when I pick up my Switch 2 preorder probably.

Cute video, hope it is not staged, although I suspect it is.

That's how I felt about squeak squad. After that I was done with Nintendo games. They're meant for children and they don't try to be otherwise. It felt like I was expecting a Gordon Ramsey course out of a playhouse kitchen.

Sparking Zero. Never buying a game on release again.

Bloke is single and needs some entertainment, give him some space.

I boughted sinking city. Extremely janky and soulless ukro nazi slop. Was a chore to speed run it.

Not really remorse but I bought the new Xenoblade X, ran around for 10 hours and never played it again. It wasn't bad, I just don't feel like booting it back up again. Straight up remorse would be Skyward Sword HD which my feelings towards has been described for me in , but also a bit confusing because I remember liking the original release.

Never buying a game on release again.

It's literally this. Buy 1-2 years later.

reddit animal specialist here
he's actually in a lot of pain, and was probably tortured by the cashier to act like that

I got this shit for 17 euros
Never finished it

Bloke is single and needs some entertainment, give him some space

I don't think you can fit an entire PS5 up your ass, what could he possibly do with it?

norman.jpg - 180x180, 4.86K

Yep. I fell into the FOMO hype and saw how fast that game fell off and that was the last straw for me. I could of waited till it was on sale or more reviews and didnt and it bit me in the ass so never again. I wanted the new Monster Hunter till I saw how fucking terrible it is and I'm happy I didn't give in cause the game is around $59 now and will probably drop even further to reflect its low acceptance

If the ps5 would have games, you could use it as gaming console.
I paid 3 for the sinking city deluxe iirc and do regret it. Part 2 might be better, but 3 is the most they will get from me, likely they will get 0.

For me it was Elden ring.
Game wasn't even finished on launch. Literally paid 70$ for an early access game.

Civ 7. It's like a mobile game now

now

Since civ5 with their gay big ass popup windows

This post is too accurate

Elden Shit.
The physical version of Lies of Piss.

i fucking hated base elden ring, and I hated that retarded hype train ticket buyers tried to deflect all criticism to bunkertroons
I knew I wasn't crazy either, because the DLC for Elden Ring actually WAS fantastic, it humiliates the base game in every way

Melty Blood: Type Lumina for $35. Devs basically abandoned the game after adding shitty characters no one wanted.
Also, does anyone else pirate/emulate basically everything now? I've spent only $80 on games over the last 3 years. I'm white, so don't call me a third-worlder.

I was half expecting him to just grab it and run while the guy was getting the card reader

I really liked civ 5.. it was my first. Especially with the dlc mechanics.

I've only bought expedition 33 for full price this year.
Only other ones i'm interested in are new Digimon story and Sonic racing game.

I watched some videos on it and thought the helper system looked cool. I bought it. Then it sunk in that almost every enemy dies in one hit and there's no elemental system. There's no difference between having a fire sword and an electric sword. They function identically.

Let's not get carried away, 5 good bosses doesn't make it amazing. Simply puts it on par with base ER
Base

maliketh

godfrey

malenia

margit/morgot

godrick

DLC
Midra
Rellana
Messmer
Bayle
Putrescent knight

ER has no replay value

I never seen sweats kill a game so fast before

I played it for an hour and I didn't like it at all. Sticking with BT3 is the right move

Fucking Nosgoth. Because Sony killed the game after I spent over $100 on cosmetics and shit. I never spent a penny on Dreadnought because I learned my lesson from Nosgoth, and then Dreadnought was killed too.

Thankfully I realised early that the big marketing campaign was a red flag. Sorry that moon rune people robbed you. Shame on them.

don't worry, Death Stranding 2 will be better

Putrescent knight

From recycling material is already on a criminal level

nirvana initiative. after generally enjoying the first ai, the sequel chose to grace me with retarded, poorly foreshadowed twists and new characters that made me feel either ambivalence or irritation whenever the focus was put on them (komeji being an exception, he's great)
not as extreme as you, but i felt similarly when playing through forgotten land. i tried using tornado just to speed through one of the lategame worlds, and once i ran into a waddle dee gate i just dropped the game. i still enjoyed amazing mirror on my most recent playthrough so it's not like i've turned around on the series as a whole, but i'll probably stop bothering with the newer titles

does anyone else pirate/emulate basically everything now?

of course, but recently i've mostly been focusing on clearing out my backlog or replaying games i enjoy. the only game i've actually purchased this year is the coffin of andy and leyley, and that's a far cry from the standard AAA priced game.

I'm white, so don't call me a third-worlder.

those two statements don't necessarily contradict each other kek

It was fun, but it got old fast as fuck and it was clear there was a focus on online faggotry rather than old school BT3 style play, not to mention the roster was padded to shit. It looked big in the trailer but when you go to Broly and see that his SS1 and Legendary also count, its alittle annoying.

I feel this way too about Nintendo games

das was 80% recycled assets but in worse way: the game
And still is Anon Babble's daring

Sure, still the better game, by far. Despite worse graphics and more jank overall.

Kinda remorse which is ironically getting a PS3 in like 2007-2008? I got it for my birthday but it was so expensive and I didn't get many games for at all for while that I felt bad for my mom spending money on it. That shit was 500 bucks at the time. It wasn't really until after 2010 when PS3 store was handing out some free games and stuff were coming out that was finally enjoying it but before that it was just an expensive Blu-ray and Netflix player.

We also bought a copy of MVC2 which was a pirated copy disc, which worked but I think that eventually damaged the Dreamcast disc reader. I'm not sure. And I guess spending money on digital card games like MTGO.

Fake. Not because it looks so obviously fake, but because buying a Playstation - a high cultural value and high quality product is a planned for weeks event and it doesn't makes sense to regret it.

I honestly don't even remember.
Playing games for like 25+ years of my life has given me sort of spider sense in terms of whether I will like a game or not based on just looking at some pics and maybe a gameplay video or two, so I only buy what I know I'll enjoy.

Why don't you make good vidya then?

nta but I already got fooled once, I'm not buying a hiking simulator again with pretty environments

I like playing, not making games.

You refunded, so there is no buyer remorse.

Nosgoth

That game was so much fun. I still get a bit sad when I see it on my steam library.

took a few hours after I got it. I didn't want to just let front mission die

trailers looked good, but for some reason I skipped it and don't even remember people talking about it after

this is the last front mission related thing

and the series is most likely dead

fuuuuck this timeline. we won't even get a gun hazard remake or sequel.

if I remember right they didn't show any gameplay ever, it was all cutscenes so you could expect it.

he probably wanted a console all his childhood but parents never bought him one

what do you even play? everything is castrated for the normies, I dont even like 4 army stacking but 1 army limit on a square made combat insufferable

wtf is wrong with these people
