Expedition 33, Elden Ring and Baldurs Gate 3 really shit all over this trash as better adventure games and this is nintendos biggest game of the 2020s. How can zelda be good again?
Expedition 33...
It is unironically over for Zelda. The assraping it has received in the past few years is irreversible.
Need to get rid of the current Zelda team/upper management and Nintendo's toxic business & game developer habits first. Which is never going to happen, so the best bet is (still) giving the IP to notable second-party studios and seeing what they cook up.
Bump.
Why is no one replying to my thread?
Expedition 33 makes me want to play it because it looks dope, spectacular, well-refined, etc.
Elden Ring makes me want to play it because it's a fresh take on the souls genre and it looks spectacular, etc. I enjoyed every second of my 200h playthrough, I loved getting all the achievements.
Baldur's Gate 3 makes me want to play it because it's cinematic, a well-crafted game, very fun with friends, well-written, etc. Looks great. I love playing it, I do.
Zelda open world? Looks boring as fuck! Empty fields, action/crafting - I hate to say it - "slop". Runs at exclusively 30fps on top of that.
You lost and got raped, Eric.

She's still seething over Nintendo's Zelda masterpieces.
should get jennifer english to voice zelda
I'm sick of nu-zelda
I'm sick of nu-zelda
Good. I want fake Zelda fans to suffer.
Journoslop
yawn
Here's your masterpiece bro
fake fan
Imagine telling a zelda fan a decade ago that zelda would be banjo kazooie nuts and bolts without the dungeons or item progression then proceeding to tell them they are not a fake fan for liking it
TOTK is the complete opposite of any pre BOTW zelda game
Having poster IDs on Anon Babble would be neat.
Shit game.
OP would be posting on multiple devices. Nothing can contain his autism
all it would be is different IDs with one only being the TOTK schizo who thinks that shitheap that even killed many zelda youtube channels is good. All he has is sales and journo reviews but if thats what makes a game good then i gues GoW 2018 is a good game too
anti TOTK chads
posts paragraphs on why game is bad with video proof and negative community feedback by the big gaming essayists and big zelda content creators
The TOTK
ITS LE GOOD CAUSE…TRUST THE JOURNOS ALRIGHT…UNLESS ITS A GAME NOT MADE ON NINTENDO
You raped and got lost.
Still posting fake videos 3 years later.
Sad.
Still posting emulator glitches 8 years later.
Sad.
TotK
posting proof why the game is light years beyond what any other developer is capable of, backed up by actual game DEVELOPERS, who are stunned by its existence. Not to mention all of the industry insiders, gaming fans, Zelda purists.
haters are a minority of low IQ retards who still cannot present a single convincing argument against the game.
Just like BotW cope and seethe.
Why are you constantly spamming the same article? Are you the author?
Anon all you need to say is something is bad because you don't like it.
That said, I liked totk well enough. It was fun messing with the build mechanics and I hadn't played botw in years so the world felt fresh in reexploring it. Needed more sky content though.
But I ultimately have no interest in any upcoming Nintendo games, I will not be purchasing a Switch 2, and I think the company is on an absolutely horrible track with how they treat both their franchises and customers.
Even genshin mogs this shit
he says, spamming the same fake webms for a decade.
Both BotW and TotK are amongst the Top 5 most acclaimed and successful games of the past 30 years. And still will be when you wake up tomorrow.
You can't do anything but fart blood on a hentai pedo image board. How's that working out for you? LMFAOO
I will not be purchasing a Switch 2
KEK
Samefag op
She still lying can save her from another decade of seething every day.
All confirmed for switch 2,lmao
No Elden ring tendie
Problems with ToTK/BoTW
Lack of fighting options. (Twilight Princess had a larger moveset)
Lack of variety of items.
Lack of significant dungeons.
Lots of nothingburger in the world.
They have the potential to be a decent game though. They're not bad tech demos.
Literally already announced, retard
Lack of fighting options. (Twilight Princess had a larger moveset)
What the fuck am I reading? LMFAOO
snoyfag doesn't know
Lmao
It's not only confirmed but getting extra features
I don't want to deflate any Nintendo fans excited for Elden Ring, it's nowhere near as good as BotW or TotK.
Don't be daft. I own TotK on my Switch and Elden Ring on my PC. Both are very worth having.
Both Botw and totk are dog shit compared to elden ring. It's not even close
Well, considering all will be in switch 2 that cope is dead ;)
What cope retard
Your pathetic life ;)
Tendies wont be getting Monster Hunter Wilds :))
Not subtle at all, victranny
How can zelda be good again?
Imagine Zelda game made by CDPR made in first person with a massive open world, grown up Link, nudity and sex?
Imagine Zelda game made by Larian as a turn based RPG, grown up Link, nudity and sex.
Link bonks Zelda
Link bonks Urbosa
So games made for 12 year olds?
Maybe they'll get it when the switch 3 comes out
So games made for 12 year olds?
Anon...
BG3 is rated 18+
Cyberpunk 2077 is rated 18+
So logically this new Zelda will also be rated 18+.
inb4 REEEEEEEEEEEE only 12yearold boys like sexy women and nudity in their videogames
LOL:LMAO even!
Cry about it cacodemon
You got flayed and slayed thoughbeit
So yeah, games for 12year olds
You do know that nu-zelda is designed for 5 year olds right
Why are you samefagging?
People paid $70 of DLC
But enough about elden ring, the 9th demon souls dlc
Why can't Anon Babble name a better adventure game than TotK?
Awards do not count for Nintendo games
Why does zelda make Anon Babble seethe so much?
NTA and I haven't played TOTK(bought it on launch still haven't opened it) But I did play BOTW and as much as I loved the characters, world, exploration, hunting, trapping, arrow and bomb mechanics... the melee combat sucked ass. It was just dodging a predictable attack and mashing the attack button in slowmo mode.
I miss WW, and TP focused swordplay that felt like actual life and death duels and wish Nintendo expanded on SS's system of having angled slashes and dicing enemy shields.
I think what you showed in that webm looks sick, I just wish there was something for those of us that want to set the world on fire AND stab, slash and parry simultaneously.
Honestly I'll take any game that lets me cut through things like SS and MGR.
Remember when SS came out and they said they couldn't imagine future Zelda games without swordplay like it?
Nah in Wind Waker and TT, enemies just stand there until you enter their 3ft parameters to activate them. Even then combat is on a completely flat sterile plane and you're executing QTE button presses to win.
In TotK every combat scenario become a unique set piece, environments dynamically impact game and player options, strategy engagements are endless and the enemy is vastly superior.
I remember accidentally fusing a normal mushroom to a spear, thinking I'd just wasted it. Imagine my surprise when I now realized my spear was super bouncy and able to comedically smack enemies 20ft in the air and off cliff edges. Combat in TotK is much fucking fun I can't think of any game which comes close.
Neither of those games shine as adventure games at all. They are just bad RPGs and Rollslop with the open world aspect slapped onto them to appeal to braindead consumers like OP. Tears of The Kingdom on the other hand? It represents the pure essence of an adventure game, where the journey is part of the goal. In order to enjoy the game, you need to take in the map and its terrain, and think spatially to reach your destination. The world of the other games you mentioned on the other hand? The terrain is boring as fuck and actually moving around is boring. The interaction with the world is largely non-physical and consists of a series of dialogue lines or repetitive fights, that's it. Thank you for demonstrating that ToTK detractors have no idea what they are talking about.
The fuse mechanic really is amazing. I hope it returns in some fashion.
ToTK detractors
It's just a very dedicated schizo.
strategy engagements are endless and the enemy is vastly superior.
Wel.... there's finite things and finite environments and minimum environmental delta... so no, not endless things - just a variety of situations... which is similar to most games.
But, combat itself... is basically the same 3 weapon types attacks, some arrows, or shooting a beam. Also a bomb/throw/boomerang/sneak attack. That's basically how it's gonna go down. But the functional COMBAT mechanics itself blows.
But the word of some schizo snoy fanboy who seethes non-stop about a game he didn't even play counts?
Pretty much yes.
In other games, the world only exists to separate the content.
In BotW/TotK, the world IS the game.
The sense of wanderlust and discovery is unmatched in any adventure game.
is unmatched in any adventure game
Until Zelda team graces us with a new proper Zelda game (Not top down sloppa)
Let's be real, there's probably 2 of them, though OP is certainly the most prolific and has likely made about half of the posts in this thread. This is why the snoy mods got rid of IP counts, so their partisanship would be less obvious.
Of course.
Until you realize... there's nothing worth discovering really, unless you're super into golden poop. And I'm saying that as someone a few dozen hours away from having been every place on the map... and what I found was... disappointment in basically nothing worth doing. But I paid for the game so I'll see it through. Realistically, it's not worth exploring the empty ass world of TOTK. Especially not the 700 odd hours I have in it.
In other games, the world only exists to separate the content.
In BotW/TotK, the world IS the game.
Well put anon.
But, combat itself... is basically the same 3 weapon types attacks
That's 3x as many as previous Zelda games. There's tons of variation within these. A tree branch does not off the same gameplay possibilities or combat options as a flame sword. Many combat encounters are completely different depending on the weapons each player. - fighting a Lava Talus without any ice weapons is a completely different experience.
And weapons also have many uses outside of combat i.e. for survival solutions or puzzle solving. All in all in all its vastly more complex, organic and satisfying as gameplay than older Zelda games.
Everything your said only applies to elden ring
Elden Bling
Explore new area, fight repetitive monsters
get stat buff
So worthwhile
Realistically those three different weapons are 3 different moves. And that's like 6 less than Twilight. But regardless in comparison to any other game... let's discuss TOTK on it's own merits... it's NOT enough. It's boring combat with little dynamics outside physics interactions.
Yeah I don't care. I'm talking about TOTK, not Elden Ring.
Yet another Zelda thread where the same guy is talking to himself over and over.
We will never ever get a normal thread.
You do care, you mentioned it in the op
So, I not being OP, and not having played Elden Ring, nor having that system or caring... mentioned it in the fucking OP post?
If only I had a screenshot of a link with (YOU) by the persons name...
let's discuss TOTK on it's own merits... it's NOT enough
Yes it fucking is. TotK has an incredibly complex combat system with endless player options. And that's before you even start to factor in crazy abilities like reversing objects through time while open gameplay continues (!).
It's an astonishing achievement that Nintendo manages to juggle all this without it ever confusing the player or overshadowing the core gameplay - which is all about exploration and discovery. At no point did I ever have to stop and look up button combinations or refresh my memory how to play. Everything is intuitive and fun.
4chab has never shown you next to the op, retard
Never.
TotK suffers from overdeveloping specific parts of the game, that and Nintendo's obsession with taking away control from the player hurts it bad.
Its main appeal was building, the entire game revolves around gathering materials do build something to get more materials, many games do this but the execution was terrible, usable materials are scace and devices are locked behind literal gacha, which wouldn't be as bad if it took any material but it only accepts a single type of currency, which is also locked behind scarce drops, those are several layers that try to stop the player from hoarding materials, then there's autobuild which requires a different type of currency and is shared with character progress, all of this forces the player to stop having fun and start grinding and farming for materials to continue having fun.
Another daily botw/totk schizo thread the trannyjanny niggermod intentionally leaves up for his fag lover OP while other off topic and shitpost threads get deleted.
Yet another Zelda thread where the same guy is talking to himself over and over.
can you prove it you larping fag?
Least obvious samefag
It has the same posts like genshin mogs or shitch poo shitendo or webms of the retard that can't figure out item sorting
Damn, Elden Ring reused the same map? I had no idea.
I just got here, respond to my rant
Samefag
Elden Ring map
The game is fucking gorgeous but it's the most restrictive and assbackwards open world map ever, the game can't even decide when to deal fall damage.
tendie has low IQ
colour me shocked
the entire game revolves around gathering materials do build something to get more materials
Um... no? Thats just an ability. The entire game revolves around you exploring the world and overcoming adversity using your own resources, abilities and wits.
There's an entire 60 hour main story, packed with the best mainline quests the Zelda has ever seen. On top of hundreds of hours of sidequests, 150 mini dungeons to find and conquer and countless secrets to find. That's what the game is.
Nobody is falling for your phone, vuctranny
quests
Most quests consist on gathering materials or dealing with an enemy camp that isn't even doing anything, every single time someone asks you to kill some moblins they give you some sob story, "waaah I can't cross over and I need to see my fiance, and my crops are dying and my animals too", then you kill the enemies and the motherfucker just stays there the rest of the game.
The rest just make you go to a part of the map, talk to someone or push a button, then go somewhere else and talk to someone else and push another button, this doesn't sound bad, all games do this, right? Well no, most games give you the advantage, they are aware traversing an open world map is mind numbing so they add fast cars or jets or whatever helps you get there faster, but not Zelda, no, you have a wing that goes slow as fuck and it disappears, wheels that get stuck on small bumps, and if you exploit the physics system by using the hoverbike you are still limited by the amount of batteries you have, which are increased by gathering more materials.
I preordered the game, loved part of it, but progression is ass, took me a year to reach the end.
there's autobuild which requires a different type of currency and is shared with character progress
Huh? It's the same currency of useable materials...The character progression would be the battery power which you need the crystalized charges for... which you buy with zoanite - the SAME currency as autobuilding. Even if you say well the crystalized charges are a different currency... right but those aren't for autobuilding.... which is what you said. They can extend the battery life.
I mean everything else is legit though yeah- the econ of zoanite is fucking dumb and Nintendo blatantly was like "here's some fun shit - but we made it unfun just for you!" And restricting the amount amount and speed you get them and not respawning large stores of them even after hundreds of hours... the game basically demands you save and load before building anything to play with then reload after you've fucked around in game. Nearly everything but korok placement is kind of poorly directed/designed. Koroks are 99% of the time spot on where you'd expect just from looking at the environment... basically at any reasonable "land-markish" looking portion.
Upgrading armor path was done poorly. Armor usage and pathing is done stupid - ffs the game points you to snowy mountains first thing and snow boots are in the dessert... The game tries to put you into a place with insta-kill enemies early on finding the cook in the castle with one-shotting black enemies... it goads you into jumping below the castle first thing as well. Autobuild is easy to get to - but takes a long time to get in the natural progression of gameplay. Didn't even pick it up in the first two hundred hours. The money econ is bad. The major ingredient for increasing effect time are dragon horns which are tedious. Some areas have greatly better pickups (Southeast has bannas and ironshrooms in abundance), Virtually everything decision they made they did one step forward two steps back.
Oh yeah. And fucking items are so fucking useless that 95% of the chests in the world I open I leave behind because they're not worth anything, half of them are shit and don't add much to anything. If they were all single rupees it'd be a better decision just because of how weapons work in the game and finding them and upgrading them. Plus - the game seems to think no matter what you do you're always going to be missing four weapons you're gonna pick out of a chest.
Nice chat gpt, same fag. Took you a while, totally not obvious
At least they could have added a creative mode, on a game about experimentation there should be some sort of player agency, what's the point of allowing me to create wild wacky action vehicles if they are going to disappear? And it wouldn't be as bad but to recreate them you either need the exact same materials or zonaite, a material that is exclusive to the depths, which is a barren land with absolutely nothing fun to do, full of goo of death, tons of walls that make no sense and it's so dark you can't see shit even if you turn on the lights, can't traverse it by foot unless you really enjoy suffering.
Then there's the "rewards" half the armor have the exact same effects and can't be upgraded, so there's really no point in getting them when the normal armor you get is better.
I liked BOTW and TOTK but it's time to leave this Hyrule behind and make something new.
Dead Internet
Most quests consist on gathering materials or dealing with an enemy camp that isn't even doing anything, every single time someone asks you to kill some moblins they give you some sob story, "waaah I can't cross over and I need to see my fiance, and my crops are dying and my animals too", then you kill the enemies and the motherfucker just stays there the rest of the game
You clearly haven't played the game at all and seem hellbent on talking shite.
(Twilight Princess had a larger moveset)
That was largely optional and entirely superfluous because the game was so baby easy and the enemies so limited in their attack patterns that you never needed to use any of them
That was largely optional and entirely superfluous
Not only largely optional, but also irrelevant because not a single enemy requires you to use those strategies to beat. That's because Nintendo couldn't be sure if any player would actually collect those abilities. So they're largely useless and pointless.
Unlike BotW/TotK, where players will slowly learn to hone their own skills and abilities on their own terms, and develop their own style of combat.
Eric won I reckon
Eric won I reckon
Yes TotK is about to stop being one of the most acclaimed games ever made and will flop any second now. We'll done Eric!
yet nobody talks about it. curious
something something.... extrinsic motivation something something... intrinsic motivation
I unironically enjoyed exploring the entire map, scaling mountains and just appreciating plains, rock formations and the topography
It gives me the same feeling when I'm alone in a forest touching trees and sitting on some big rock and smelling vegetation
Can someone tell me what is the reasoning behind this war between those games? lol
I know board is shit with the amount of trolls but maybe there is a reason behind it.
I'm kinda embracing shitposting recently, there is no point to genuinely argue with garbage subhumans
If the Zelda team is gonna keep pushing the open world meme they should just copy Elden Ring but instead of the Fromsoft style dungeons have Zelda style dungeons.
This open air bullshit doesn't work.
We need this on Anon Babble so fucking bad.
Vast majority of threads are just OP samefag spam.
and it's so dark you can't see shit even if you turn on the lights
To be fair, I have the entire depths lit up. It's easy as pie to see everything all across the entire thing. I kind of miss when it was dark because it loses it's atmosphere as well. But yeah... lots of nothing down there except skelehorses and I guess a really crappy area to drive shit vehicles around with if you're not farming frox/lynels etc...
yet nobody talks about it
It came out years ago son. Move on with your life.
