So long as they give it to those who own the Anniversary Edition or whatever its called, for free - that's acceptable. The biggest improvement will probably be the engine overhauls that will allow stuff like the Unification Mod to to really be able to take advantage of all the features without so much trouble.

nuRelic launched Dawn of War 3 at $60 and also launched Age of Empires IV at $60. The former was considered a commercial failure and the second requires $30 of DLC (so far) and both released before $80 were a thing.

This is $60, and probably $90 or something to play it on the release weekend.
