I beat it on deck though I prefer Sekiro as far as From games in general go. It's definitely something. I only recently played it for the first time and comparing it to elden rang it feels like something's been lost over time. Especially thinking back to DS1 back in the 360 days.

People only like bloodborne because of the DLC. The base game bossfights are all terrible, the FPS barely ever sits at a stable 30 (especially not in any of the boss fights where they have tons of hair, since half the bosses are werewolves for some reason), and they do hardly anything with the lovecraftian setting, with the nightmare frontier being way less interesting design-wise than it should be.

My problem with most lovecraftian stuff is that they take the monsters and the sense of greatness but not any of the sense of deep knowledge or technology to justify the sense of them being higher beings that lovecraft’s stories had. Bloodbourne is one of the worst examples of this. Oh these are the “great ones”? With no technology or culture, indistinguishable from giant animals that can do magic by accident? Ok. Why do people want to become them? In real life, they would have been harvested, not worshipped.

I've replayed it recently after it came out on PC via emulation after selling my ps4 years ago and I'll be honest it didn't age as well as I thought it would, used to be my 10/10 one of the best games ever while now I would rank it as an 8.5/10 tops
