I feel like if Awakening got rereleased that IS would do something baffling like remove the SpotPass content, or the DLC, or something.
They would fuck it up somehow, because they can't just release a good FE without some catch.
The issue with Sumia was that IS just kind of took the whole "Sweet pegasus girl love interest" trope for granted and just assumed people would like the couple because "it's just like Marth and Caeda!" without actually putting in any legwork to sell the relationship (granted, you do see people support the ship almost entirely because it's "canon", and while I'm sure a vast majority of those people are just trolling I would not doubt that at least a few are genuinely autistic people that just want to be right). The result is a very dry series of supports about how Chrom and Sumia love each other because they love each other. Every other Chrom support line is just far more interesting.
It's a shame too because Sumia is genuinely a pretty good character, you just don't really get to see it because her most commonly seen support line is also the one least interested in her as a character.
The incest also needs to be canonized. The "companions" shit is unforgivable.
