Because in 2013 riot had the genius idea that every role should be a carry. Before that the game was prettty good and fun.

Every single game is filled with at least one guy who will get mentally mind broken and start spamming the chat or feeding within the first five minutes because somebody died or they didn't get a gank or some pussy shit. Like it is insane how angry people get in this game over the most tiny of setbacks, you don't see people in any other game get this mad except maybe cs. A good 40% of players have a baby loser mentality and you can tell they have never played a sport or done anything competitive on their lives. Which is why I never FF and keep the other players hostage cuz I'm always having fun eating people as Urgot, win or lose.

Yeah that was the strong point of junglers, the weak point was low gold and exp income, so you would buy philo stone and heart of gold and be weaker than actual carries. But now everyone has a billiong gold and catch up exp so every game every person suffers main charscter syndrome. It is so.obvious to me that this is the main reason why the game is so shit nowadays. Before you had poke comps, protect the kog comps and so on but nowadays is just 5 carries killing each other in half a second

team based games with randomized team mates means you just blame your team mates when things go wrong, and take creditfor when things go right.

I quit after Zed was added. I played again a few years ago after Vex was added but then quit again after a month or two because the game is still shit and everything has turned into who can jump and zoom all over the map the fastest with their mobility.

I don't play shit games, but I imagine its popularity leads people to believe it's more toxic than other games, but the reality is that shitheads play every game on the planet

ASSFAGGOTs are basically designed to make people rage. A weak link on your team is a way bigger liability than in most other games because a feeder makes the other team stronger, you will have a good idea fairly early on that you're gonna lose or not but the games go on for 30+ minutes regardless so you get to stew in a game that's not going well and all of them punish you for leaving early, they're all ranked and measure how much of a shitter you are. It's just designed for frustration.

people lose on purpose because too many people in a row lost the game for them and they just feel "fuck it, my turn to be a burden"
they will not only make the game unwinnable but they will make it take as long as they can by voting no on surrenders and "soft inting"

this means they do not run into the enemy and die, but they just stand around in fights and act like they are going to engage but never actually fight.
you will see them throw out the basic auto attacks and not cast spells and shit. this is a stealthy method of Intentionally losing that is not reportable or bannable.

Team games allow people to blame the other players in the game for their own mistakes which creates a feedback loop of the person thinking they're not the problem, it's the other people. So the majority of the playerbase ends up with this sort of mindset and it's only at the top where there's genuine people trying to get better. Yet it's still a problem and at the top of every game is toxic people that are only there to flex their virtues, so even if the ability to blame others didn't exist you still have the normal levels of toxicity to deal with. Basically, it never gets better.
