A Switch 2 port is literally just even more money on top of the pile, throw in a little extra for everyone else to celebrate and you get some gather some good will as well, nobody's gonna say no to more items and everyone was bitching about Torrent's looks.

Fromsoft probably capitulated. They bought Elden Ring back from Bamco but Bamco probably has a lot of privileges and influence contractually for ER and Nightreign The way I see it, Nightreign is just to fulfill their contractual obligations and escape Bamco and Bamco is like "fine, do that, we'll use the horse armor clause in section 3B and start milking Elden Ring losers"

Yes i feel like torrent and 90% of the open world and walking could have been removed with no consequences to the flow of the action.

I understand that "pacing" is the reason for it's existence, that some level of sensory deprivation is necessary to get properly invested in the world and setting (as you get bored you will imagine the game world is more vivid in a way that no pixels could ever reproduce) but it really doesn't do it for me when the gameplay is just killing stuff. Much like the setting being dead and hollow, the game feels the same way.
