Not Buying Switch 2 Comfy Thread

Any other poorbros sticking with Switch 1 for foreseeable future? Im simply priced out of Switch 2 ecosystem. My Switch 1 backlog is so big anyway, Im actually looking forward to sticking with it and not being tempted by any new games coming out. Just work on the backlog.

Almost done with Metroid Dread and having a blast. Thinking of doing Sunshine next.

Look you an be a genuine tendie and not preorder and hype yourself dead, by the end of the year we will know on what track their on and what games are on the horizon

i already have botw, mario odyssey, splatoon, kirby and acnh
i am sticking to this i guess
nothing they have shown besides mario kart interested me

If the games look good, maybe Ill get it later. But yeah, that launch lineup looks like shit

Oooh yeah I have to get Kirby. Is it still worth getting into S3? Wonder if it will shut down when S4 comes out.

work on the backlog

that's the most pathetic phrase I read today

Got shit to do, will give their inferior software a try whenever the emulators are running

image.png - 1027x917, 1.11M

Did they do Elden Ring Tarnished Edition or Duskblood at the Treehouse today?

I also shan't be buying it. I have the money, but it is an extremely poor value proposition.

I didn't like the switch 1 because it was mostly Wii U ports. I don't like the Switch 2 because the game prices and key cards

Pre-orders are already out in EU?

I will simply emulate the switch 2, not a single cent will go to the jew gooks

There won't be an emulator.

See you in 2 or 3 years champ

Neither console is getting a Human Revolution/Mankind Divided port, are they?

denton.png - 432x454, 240.89K

Every Nintendo console has been emulated, sure they will wait 2 or more years but eventually it will happen.

I don't even have a 120fps monitor
how the fuck am I supposed to afford all this

Get a job

This. I'd rather just use the money to buy a Steam Deck instead.

Buy a 120fps monitor? You should even be able to buy a decent TV for cheap.

Isn't Switch 2 on the level of PS4 in terms of power? And PS4 doesn't have great emulation yet. I dunno, lots of pirates getting cocky with high expectations. Maybe this is the end of the line

120 FPS monitor are cheap as fuck.

I have one.

car payments $490

car insurance $290

phone $90

credit card debt $120

food $410

eggs $10

And I am mooching off a family member so thats not counting an apartment. We cant fucking live anymore let alone pay for $100 dollar switch games

Love my comfy Switch OG. Switch 2 can suck an egg

Get a better job?
Stop buying financed shit, save and buy when you have the money so you don't end up paying 2x/3x to those jews

I can afford a switch 2 but I’m worried it will be like the wii u in that it won’t have any games.

Giving it enough time and nintendo autism it will happen eventually, no one cares about emulating ps4 so its development has been slow as fuck

I'm just waiting for an OLED model or OLED mod. Until then I'm using my OLED Switch.

Get a better job?

With what? College costs money, which as you can see, I dont have.

Stop buying financed shit

OH okay Ill just go back in time and make sure to optimize the run no mistakes this time!

what monitor should i get
what has low input lag and looks good

You didn't finished college? lmao

we dont all have a rich mommy and dada to pay for college and buy us a car, silver spoon Anon

I paid for all my stuff but I never used credit or loans, paid my own school living with only my mother and now I have my own house and car. Step it up kiddo

You are mid to high class if you are able to do that. You dont understand true poverty so please stop talking. You dont understand the real problems in the world

lmao I didn't receive a cent from my mother since I was 14 and worked for everything I have now.
The day you move out and pay for every single thing yourself you will understand what poverty looks like.

I’ll probably hold out for a year or so and see if the lineup improves, if it does then I might consider it.
Might just get a Steam Deck in the meantime though.

Acer KA272 G0bi via Best Buy. The go on sale quite often for $99 and I bought one 3 months ago. It's decent with low input lag.

If they dropped the online fee id buy one, cant go back to paying for online no matter how small the fee.

what type of panel is it?
what panel type should I even be looking for

NOT BUYING IT AT 500
SURE AS HELL AINT PAYING 1000 BUCKS FOR IT AFTER TARIFFS
REST IN PISS NINTENDO

I will buy the Switch 2, but not this year, I'm currently focused on building my first PC so once I'm done with that, and once the console and games' prices settle down, I'll see if I can buy it. I'm very interested in MK World, Bananza and Duskblood, and I think I'll wait until I get the Switch 2 to buy Prime 4.

People really play vidya like this? Sad!

xhe thinks ryujinx2 needs years to emulate a glorified switch

i'll wait for a lite version or until something more notable comes along like a new smash bros

Where were you when the US was officially made third world and unable to afford fucking video games?

yes, but not mynintendo store

I'm buying 2 on launch. Not a big deal, only about 60% of my monthly paycheck.
One console is gonna be for online play. Second will stay sealed until there's a jailbreak available.

why not just emulate

I will, but most games will probably have issues on emu, so I'm gonna play those on jailbroken S2 instead.
Pic unrelated, I'm just horny for Aisha from Elsword.

The worst part is, so many people defending the price increase. If you're defending the price increase, it's coming out of your pocket.

People used to not believe me, but Nintendo banned my Switch from online. I didn't cheat on games, or play illegal copies of Switch games. And Nintendo still banned my console anyway. I hacked my Switch for emulation, and overclocking as well to get better frame rates.

I will emulate the Switch 2 as it will be cracked in 3 months

the funniest part is people blaming the price increase on tariffs and then...

Because many act like they cannot put a simple budget. If you save $180 every month from today 'till June you can get the console if you want it. We have a leverage here. You're already a quarter of the way there if you have an OLED you can trade in.

I dont even care if its tariffs. The solution isnt to makes unaffordable. You AS A COMPANY either need to take the hit or find a way to bring costs down. Because I have a limit and Im not budging. To me, video games arent a feasible thing anymore. Its just a rich person's hobby and they lost a sale and customer from me until they FIGURE OUT how to include more than the 1%

I honestly think I'm going for geforce now subscribtion, I have fast internet so it's much cheaper than buying a new console

It will be cracked in 8 years. Working emulator will be in 20 years

the switch 2 is going to be an overpriced port slop machine. the amount of games that are 10 years old from the ps4 that will be sold at $70 will be insane.

I may buy one if nintendo wasn't a greedy fuck with their pricing. $70 for breath of the wild is horseshit.

my xbox series x is gonna play most of the switch 2 games better, and it has remote play.

fpbp

256 gb

lol

he thinks there's going to be CFW and emulation ready on day one

retard

usually only ever buy games if they’re on sale for $20 or less

for that reason only buy maybe one Switch game a year and only if it looks like it’s worth the price

price increase for ancient ports and games that you can beat in a weekend

They’ve lost my interest. The console being expensive is whatever but I’m not paying nearly $100 for a fucking single video game when I can get 10 games or more for the same price on Steam or PSN

they called him sleepy joe because you could sleep easy at night knowing the budget console option didn’t cost $700

I'm putting that money towards a new PC.

poorbros

They could drop the price of the console to $20 and I still wouldn't buy it.
As if it wasn't bad enough modern games are microtransaction console slop, now the console itself is MICROTRANSACTIONS DRM slop.

I would rather spend $600 for a lenovo legion go and emulate and play my steam library.
I would rather spend $550 for a high end steam deck.

Switch games are like 3 gb.

If you buy one game a year a ten dollar increase is nothing.

hmmm what do I pick a console that has tons of good exclusives or a console that has literally zero and plays everything worse than a Mediocre pc?

No thanks, I already own a PC.

I see that Deckfags continue having their inferiority complex.

Steam deck just crossed the THREE MILLION units sold mark! We're coming for you Nintendo!

707369005

Damn, Reddit bots are real here

xboxfag took a break from being a skeleton to remind everyone he has no games

switch 2 battery life 6 hours

steam deck, 3 hours

OH NO NO NO NO

Is now a good time to get a switch for my collection?

Nice, I got that one too.

Not buying it year one but I do plan on getting it someday when there's more games and maybe...when the switch 2 gets a permanent price cut (I wish)

i just dont see a reason to buy a switch 2
i'll play metroid on my switch and then be done with it anyway

Photoshop

and key cards

what do you mean?

i didn't have money for a car

so i financed a new luxury car instead of buying a $500 shitbox

The "physical" games where you buy the cart and it's just DRM and you have to download the game. Like L.A. Noire on original Switch

anon's monthly necessities cost is equal to half a months wage of my shitty entry level factory job

Actually look for a better job. If half the money you make can't be disposable you are doing something wrong

When you're at the peak the only way is downwards

It's more of a sideways shift. Graphics can only get so good. At a certain point, the focus shifted to performance capabilities like Frame Rate, Resolution, and Processing Speeds.

Ah yes, comparing two different games vs comparing the same game in two consoles

That’s the idea, the meme is trying to say innovation is so bad that they’re not even making new games anymore.

IMG_0008.jpg - 1080x1255, 244.64K

Yeah, those are replacing the current "code in a box" releases. They are objectively better because you can lend it to someone or sell it, unlike the codes that get stuck to your account. It's a net positive for the consumer.
They're not replacing "full" physical games.

Being born in the 80s-early 90s was the best times in terms of gaming. We got to experience the revolution of gaming. People born in the 2000s and beyond could never grasp the mind blowingness of going from 2D games to 3D games, or going from 2D handheld games from 3D game held games, or going from home phones, to flip phones to iPhones. These leaps in technology used to be pivotal moments you remembered and got excited about it. For the last 15 years everything has basically been the same. The leap from PS2/Xbox to PS3/360 was really the last time a console generation felt impactful and meaningful. I remember not feeling anything when we went from 360/PS3 to One/PS4. Everything sucks now
