I think the tracks look fine. Rails and wallriding seem like a fun evolution of the anti-grav mechanics of 8 that open up some cool mobility options and shortcuts. Not a fan of the Grand Prix format (where driving to the next track and doing one lap replaces doing 3+ full laps of a unique track) but looking forward to multiplayer.

The reason for that is in 8 some bikes and karts had a selection of set skins that are used amongst all racers rather than individual skins per person. Meaning if there was no skin didn’t fit your character they had to make-do with the next best thing

200cc will finally be able to shine in world for sure. It's fun in 8 but you can tell many of the tracks were not made with it in mind.

Maybe it's because I spent the last 5 years getting mad into SRB2Kart and Ring Racers but nothing about this new mario kart is doing it for me. Driving looks painfully slow and unengaging, there's no thought behind any of it and cutting back EVEN FURTHER on shortcuts from mario kart 8 leaves all the tracks solved. Do a drift here, tilt a bit there, etc. there is no variation on which way to take a course that will make you win better.
Also I think ultimately the open world will be a marketing gimmick that hampers the experience, it's already absurd that grand prix is now several minutes of navigating between each track only to do one lap on said track.
