Miller would probably refuse to go along with it. When he finds out, he's so mad he literally says Big Boss can go to hell and that he's gonna dedicate to making one of the Snakes strong enough to kill him eventually

He'd want to go with the real Big Boss, and if the real BB wouldn't let him, he certainly wouldn't waste years babysitting his doppelganger

I think he was just hesitant to trust Miller in general by that point, he already knew in Peace Walker that Kaz had been working with Cipher behind his back (albeit in the financial interests of MSF) and after the attack on Mother Base, Kaz probably seemed as likely a culprit as any.
for all we know Kaz could've gone along with BB's plan anyway, but that's not a risk he was willing to take.

The third act missing is not the main problem.
The main problem is that there are no classic MGS-style boss fights, which WAS the main appeal of the entire series. Instead we get wet farts.

On top of that the gameplay devolves rapidly into "attach everything to a balloon" bullshit loop and you can't really opt out since you're meant to collect shit that way.

The whole thing is poorly thought out and poorly developed from the ground up. No wonder Kojima got ran out immediately and is now doing walking simulators feat Dorito Pope and assorted b-list celeb crushes of his. Pathetic.

I don't think MGS3 really hurts anything too much, but I feel it's pretty clear that none of the shit in MGS2 was really ever supposed to be answered or wrapped up. MGS4 is "kino" or whatever but it was deliberately a complete asspull designed to appeal to your MGS "knowledge" and nostalgia.

Right, I think I remember now, Ocelot was working with Zero only to save BB and Venom during the attack on Cyprus. But since Zero had lost control of the Patriot AI because of Skull Face leaving him comatose, they couldn't make up again.

By the time of V Zero is already bound to his sickbed, and Cipher/Patriots have been taken over by Skullface and Strangelove's AI. Eliminating Skullface is vengeance for all.

All of the big boss games were slop. It's unfortunate some of that slop spilled over to the mainline solid snake games in the form of never ending cutscenes to explain it all away

Chapter 3 of MGS4 is god awful I agree and MGS3 is slop but I'd argue there's intent at least and it at least still accomplishes everything it needed to accomplish with Big Boss as a character even if the retards obsessed with that game don't seem to notice at all

Hard to call 3 slop when it perfected the formula of all the previous games. Filler would be more accurate, especially as it was promoted as answering all the questions from 2 and failed to do so, although it was the good type of filler.

MGS3 definitely has very good gameplay. You could make the argument that it is the best because it is a video game and that should be the main focus but MGS games are also movie games. 3 doesn't deviate from that and it is a bad fucking movie that is written way worse than the previous two which matters when you're trying as hard as Kojima tries at making the movie part "good"
