NOT A SINGLE GOOD ENEMY

I have reached Dragon Aerie (btw worst Dragon themed area of Souls games, what the actual fuck do Lost Bastille mummies do here?, it's also literally just a corridor) and killed Ancient Dragon. This is probably the worst Dragon boss ever made. Even fighting Ancient Wyvern on the ground in Dark Souls 3 was much cleaner.

Even Demon's Souls had great bosses like Demonlurker and Maneaters, but no in this shit every boss is the exact same boring shite, either some knight with 3 hit combo and a ranged beam or a giant monster with slow triple swing and a vore grab.

Drangleic was easily the most disappointing part, the mid boss is 2 knights that you have to stand behind to make him miss, and the final boss a giant knight that you have to stand behind to make him miss.

Freyjka spider or whatever has the most potential but the beam hitbox is completely broken.
All easy and lame

Also what is with this obsession to give frames after//while attacking in which enemies take greatly reduced damage. Shouldn't be the OPPOSITE. How does Leo Ring work with that. I have noticed it for dozens of enemies now, including this piece of shit Skyrim tier dragon.

Tl;dr

He fell for the Shart Souls 2 meme

didn't read, but that's a very sexy dragon

i liked dark souls 2 and i don't care about your shit opinion.

worst Dragon themed area of Souls games

It's one of the best souls areas in general. An absolutely majestic place.

I was actually thinking recently that i can't recall a single fight with dragons in any of From's games that was actually fun

Kalameet
Midir
Bayle
Placidusax
Fortissax

btw worst Dragon themed area of Souls games

stopped reading, make it more believable

Careful, you might attract the schizo webm spammer

Kalameet looks cool but thats about it. Midir is among the least fun bosses in general, just a health sponge. Didn't play Shadows so no Bayle. I'll hand you Placidusax but that was practically a DMC boss in game that doesn't have the moveset for it.Kinda fun i guess,so so. Missed Fortissax.

Ancient Dragon and Darkeater Midir can both go fuck themselves sideways. I hate them so fucking much.

Even fighting Ancient Wyvern on the ground in Dark Souls 3 was much cleaner.

Of course, OP is a DS3 fanboy.

No argument

He is right

dark souls 2 is considered to be the worst game for a reason

Kalameet looks cool but thats about it.

No, it's a great boss

Midir is among the least fun bosses in general, just a health sponge.

Nope

I'll hand you Placidusax but that was practically a DMC boss in game that doesn't have the moveset for it.

Massive skill issue
Midir is great

He's still calling it complete garbage

It's a piece of dogshit corridor with 2 dozen reskinned human npcs and 4 reskinned heide sentinels
And the grand entrance with huge staircase to the Ancient Dragon is preceded by 2 small wooden (YES WOODEN) doors because Dark Souls 2 is offensivly dogshit

Midir is kino and forever changed how From does dragon fights
It's the true and only heir to Kalameet when Sihn was a shitty ripoff of it

Best game in the series.

Smelter Demon
Ancient Dragon
Fume Knight
Sir Alonne
Ivory King
Maldron the Assassin
Jester Thomas

Every single one of these is better than the entirety of Demon Souls, DS1 and DS3 put together.

Smelter Demon

I don't understand why people like this boss. There was nothing good or fun about it, just a big dude swinging big sword (sometimes with fire!).

Filtered.

Dark Souls 2 is the best souls game ever made, obtain better taste OP

filtered because I don't find a boss particularly intetesting that is extremely forgettable because it goes down in a few hits

I mean yeah you can say that

Smelter Demon

Fume Knight

Sir Alonne

Ivory King

Wow, a tall guy with a sword and a 2 three slash combos that miss if you circle strafe it, really peak

Ancient Dragon

Literally the Red Drake from DS1 in a cicular arena

Maldron the Assassin

He is cool, why does he invade you though?

Jester Thomas

Overstatted bot

30k SM run is the best.

I think that every Souls game should have a mod that adds SM.

Smelter Demon

Circlestrafe behind the back

Ancient Dragon

Run behind the back an hit legs

Fume Knight

Circlestrafe behind the back

Sir Alonne

Circlestrafe behind the back

Ivory King

Circlestrafe behind the back

Maldron the Assassin

Stunlock the cheating npc with greatsword r1s

Jester Thomas

Stunlock the cheating npc with greatsword r1s

WOAHHHH what a great roster of bosses, so varied and interesting!!!

the guy shitting his diapers about ds2 is a ds3 fan

kek of course

What you just posted is no different from the Midir clips you posted earlier as well, just letting you know that, DS3cuck.

Dark Souls 2 really is the best one of the trilogy, but you have to not be a retard to appretiate it.

It's better actually since Velstadt had him and no Estus left and low HP. Midir the jobber couldn't even take down his Estus.

IIRC the Ancient Dragon is a piss easy boss on purpose because it isn't even a real dragon but a mutated giant or something like that.

I fucking love the mad science feel of Aldia's Keep.

Dark Souls 2 is only fun because of how much it copies the Dark Souls formula. Poorly, but still. It's enjoyable for one playthrough despite its many issues.
It's unquestionably the worst of all the Souls games and the only people who deny that are mentally ill contrarians.

run around for 20 seconds before you can get ONE(1) hit in

What an absolute dogshit atrocity of a boss.

i like how ds2's developers actually tried to come up with a new concept for a 'treacherous npc' with pate, and then miyazaki came back and shat all over their attempts by reintroducing patches again in ds3, then again in elden ring, kek

spacing and outpositioning smashes, bites and claws is the same as circlestrafing every enemy beccause they go full retard and can't even target you

Shart Souls 2 is easy as shit, all those boss fights are first try entering the arena after dealing with enemies outside that are harder to avoid but you can just tank since the game gives you 3 billion estus and lifegems.
The only few enemies that force me to heal are Smelter Demon for the obligatory fire damage and Ancient Dragon because of the dogshit hitbox and near unavoidable fire breath, and even then you get so many lifegems you don't need to use estus
Just spam that regen baby.
Midir has smooth hitboxes and fair attacks with no shitty flame effects, I don't need to use estus unless I fuck up
nobody gives a shit about Dark Souls 2 lore

jump heavy

jump heavy

jump heavy

dodge lightning or fire

jump heavy...

Placidusax sucks. Sinh is more fun to fight

Pate is now new and is a laughable and pathetic attempt at copying Patches with none of the greatness of the original Pate in Shadow Tower Abyss, which it tried and failed to mimic, the one that dumps you into actual danger and has a beef with you with a satisfying questline.
The Dark Souls 2 Pate lacks all of that

It shows how shit Dark Souls 2 is.
You have no connection to Pate and you never feel like it puts you ever in danger because it is too busy with the gay drama with Creighton and you are a secondary NPC to their story, which is also trash and basically boils down to the game blatantly telling you they are 2 trash people so you kill both and get double loot.

Patches is a beloved trickster that left a strong impression.
Pate is a the bootleg korean tier clone, much like the game it is stuck in, and of all trickster NPCs between Souls games and Shadow Tower, it is the only example of developers completely missing the point.

No

has to dodge more often than he gets to avoid damage

So you successfully stepped around one attack and this makes the boss bad does it

all his ds3 fault responses are "nuh uh"

Dunno why everyone is still trying to argue with the DS3cuck, an obvious shitposter.

80k souls and 4 estus right before velstadt

84k souls and no estus or life at the end of velstadt

So you got to Velstadt, died, ran back killing a couple of enemies in the process, lost all your estus on the Velstadt fight again and then after barely scraping a win you post a 30s clip where you got away with strafing around him a couple of times
Pottery

Not to forget

when you finally hit him with your fuckhuge axe, his healthbar barely moves

lmao. Pathetic.

No, the boss is bad because it's a dogshit boss that swings in the same exact way as the other 50 dudes in armor before it and the strategy is alwats circlling around their back so they can't trget you and fuck up

ds3 fault

what ds3 fault? what are you talking about? who i talking about ds3? obsessed, much?

So you got to Velstadt, died,

I didn't die at all, I killed the Dragonrider and the spectres summones by the bell, then got invaded.
I first timed Velstadt with the same exact health

says he got to Ancient Dragon

pretends like he's playing DS2 for the first time

is posting a decade old .webms

It would be nice if shitposters put some actual effort into this and make it less obvious.

You are absolutely right, and DS2 is a disgrace.

Also what is with this obsession to give frames after//while attacking in which enemies take greatly reduced damage.

Usually it's the other way around, you deal full counter attack damage but then some random attacks end the counter window early or just don't count as counterable attacks (a lot of boss grabs have that property)
The DLCs have better bosses than the base game but I doubt any of them would redeem ds2 for you

Ancient Wyvern is way more offensive than post-nerf Ancient Dragon

no

Wait, let me amend that, the main two bosses of the DLCs are decent, the optional ones ranges from dogshit to recolors

all those boss fights are first try entering the arena

You got 0 Estus left you ain't fooling anyone lil bro.

Estus

No such thing
Dark Souls 2 is the only game where I don't care to reset estus
All those webms are first tries

fun fact: Dragon Shrine is just an older version of the Drangleic Castle map, hence why they show it instead of the final castle in the intro and the artbook still has this one in the DC section.

28.jpg - 2320x3494, 1.21M

Why do you people hate dungeons so much?

And the grand entrance with huge staircase to the Ancient Dragon is preceded by 2 small wooden (YES WOODEN) doors because Dark Souls 2 is offensivly dogshit

They couldn't even get the windows right.

That's beyond embarassing

holy based threads.

god DS2 is so fucked up

I miss when we could discuss games without shitposting

Yes ds2 is dogshit and people who defend it are mentally ill.

That's not a real dragon. It's a wood clone.

Have you seen the state of this thread? The guy is necrobumping and samefagging to keep it from getting archived lol, DS2 makes some people mad for a strange reason, very cultish behavior

"Sorry, this place was never designed with me in mind - please ignore that I had to shrink to the size of a large pumpkin in order to appear here..."

You made this thread three days ago retarded fucking faggot.

A lot of problems would be fixed by simply playing Dark Souls II instead of Sins of the Shart Shitter

filtered by peak souls 2

go back to ds3, faggot
