It's going. I'm hoping to have a fully polished demo by end of April and then churn out a trailer for Anon Babble3. Maybe I'll hire someone on fiverr to do it because I've never had to edit a video before. Progress for now is I've cut down my quests from 12 total to these for the demo so will focus on polishing them. Maps are going to take the most time to finish. Game features are locked in.
My game has two campaigns so plot is split.
Crime side your character was part of a cultist/cartel suicide attack on a mafia-owned skyscraper. Your character was brainwashed by the cultists/cartel. You get captured and are given an offer you can't refuse, either be a spy for the family on the cartel and advance within the family or die.
Law side has you playing as a private detective. You take on jobs related to the supernatural. You deal with various monsters in their own focused quests with their own stories. You meet the clients, learn about the monsters, and work to close out each case. One case has you going around the hub investigating a monster that is killing pregnant women at the hospital. You have to figure out what it is based on clues. Second quest for the demo is exorcising a ghost in a mansion by destroying a locket that keeps it around. The mansion itself changes around and has various puzzles. The ghost works like a nemesis type that chases you around here and there and can't be beaten in a fight until the locket is destroyed.
My idea is to eventually have these intersect with quests but will see how well that goes. I may either cross over the events and not have the characters meet ala Separate ways or make a third campaign so I can use the characters you make for it though this may get weird with multiple save files.
For my question, what feature of your game do you think will stand out the most to players?
