Motion control is only for normalfags when we talk about games like Beat Saber. Every other use case of sword fighting or FPS has valid uses. It's not for nomalfags for having a fully intractable cockpit in a plane or in a mech for example.

No there's plenty of experiences and uses that make it worth the $300 cost now. I would say for most people things like index are not going to be worth the money though

No quest 3 is great and you can sideload all the games easier than pc pirating once you have it set up. Rookie sideloader i think it is.

Batman arkham shadow and blade and sorcery are my go to. Then a few different rouge likes on rotation. Rouge likes work really well in vr. Just do a run and take off the headset.

Virt a mate if you have a million free hours to figure out the ui, but eventually youll have your own custom girls (or lolis) dancing in front of you or set up in any wild poses. Also scaling works so you can do that stuff.

Otherwise, using vr desktop to watch porn on a fuck huge screen infront of you that wraps around is pretty amazing.

Yes, sorry, its PCVR. It's a Quest 2 but I wasn't too impressed with the standalone options so I do the questlink or whatever it's called.

I played Doom VFR recently. It's really fun, but it's incredibly short, like maybe 3 times as long as a demo, and it was designed for the vive wands a year after the oculus touch controllers and the basic design for a vr controller came out. They patched it with bindings but it's all half assed and the bindings dont even start to make sense without community bindings. And why didn't they port doom 2016 or something and sell it full price?

if you think spending $300 bucks on a VR headset is expensive then sure, I got thousands of hours of VR Gaming in me all for $300, from original rift cv1 to quest 3s (yep I dont need more)

I can't get over the Take and Hold mode in H3VR. That shit is worth the price tag on its own. Nothing like trying hide and reload under pressure and popping out to clear the room of enemies once you finally get the weapon working again. It seems like such a small thing when I step back to look at it but it's still just pure, unadulterated fun. Fucking love that shit.
Some day I'll use it for porn. Just never got around to it. I remember when I first got it and tried browsing Anon Babble in VR for funsies. I opened some random anime picture and it was huge and looked so damn crisp even though it was the size of the wall. VR is the coolest shit. I really hope we get a couple more devs really leaning into it. It doesnt have to be PC2, but a couple more games that arent forever EA solo dev projects would be nice.

VR is the most economic secondary platform for a PC user easily aside from emulating switch games or something. There aren't many great VR games but there are enough decent VR games than you have time to play. You can use UEVR or other mods to play normal games in 3D as well as a few full conversion mods. As your PC gets stronger, you can just keep using the same headset. If you want the quests exclusives too you're in luck because quests are the cheapest headsets with the highest value. They are on a faster upgrade cycle than nintendo/xbox/playstation but VR hardware needs to improve 10 years ago

there is an initial honeymooning period where it's the coolest thing ever and you'll want to play all the things
from what i observed those things will be drastically different for most people based on taste. for example my own personal tastes attracted me to pure anxiety simulators once boiled down to, and there's a lot of those available in VR. you'll be attracted to your own flavor of "it's cool that i can do this"
once this period wears off you'll feel like you can't be bothered anymore and shove it back into the box

Unironically I only enjoy VR for shit like modded regular FPS games eg RE7. I don't care to use the uncomfortable controllers or stand up and pretend to walk around. It does nothing for me. I can't fucking believe I've had this Index for nearly 6 years omfg make it stop.
