They still update Bleak Faith. They added a new boss to it yesterday and they've been working on a big update for a while now. It's still janky as hell though, but much better than the release version.

Piercing Claw doesn't even need its own slot, it could've been activated with a specific button combo (L2 + triangle) instead to avoid situations where you claw yourself to death

lighting dodge could've been just bound to L2 + circle, mimicking the normal dodge input

L2 + up/down could've been used for a Souls esque spell roulette, L2 + square/x could've been used for two "static" spell slots on top of it for quick access

"down" button is used for a map that is never used for anything, could've been a menu function instead

Anything that can stagger is strong. Weapon skills are good for staggering. Red Deer’s weapon skill rapes necros since the first hit staggers and then the second hit knocks them to the ground. It’s made fighting them all so easy on NG+. I hated fighting them on NG.

What's disappointing about the movesets, they clearly had the budget for some very impressive enemies like those shielder dudes in the church. But for some reason they didn't pay attention to the player weapons at all.
I would be fine even with one moveset per weapon class if they actually bothered expanding it. Not even DeS had a single static R2, this is Ashen territory and it was blasted for low moveset variety too.

Although the lack of varied movesets is a downside (finding a weapon at the end of the game but having the same moveset as the weapon you had since the start sucks), they do have 2 different heavy attacks per category.
What I like about the game, and it's strength is the level design, very demons souls in spirit, so the effort of the devs went towards that and I appreciate that.

I’m pretty sure the movesets for monsters with four arms or humans with guns and throwing spears or other things are by necessity going to need to be different. Do you want said four armed monster to act like it only has two arms when attacking? I am personally satisfied with the variety of movesets and weapon skills and the fact that the enemies all have a good variety of attack combos to get used to. Better than them doing the same thing over and over.

I agree that default movesets are somewhat lacking but then again From has cheatcode of recycling animations from previous games. I am sure if they ever make DLC or sequel they'll improve on that front, now with more gamedev experience under their belts.

I pirated bleak faith after hearing about it in these thread, and it's bad.
The controls are stiff until you get a lot of +ATK SPD stuff, and the balance is pretty bad. Level design is also weird, the first real level is nice and confusing fitting the setting, but after that, it's mostly a bunch of linear paths. Lore is also really barebones even for a soulslike, there's like 10 or so notes in the game, some NPCs spouting babble, and no item descriptions.
The only real merit it has is it's art direction which likes to feature massive structures in the landscape.

I've been going through the files and I haven't been able to find where weapon stats are stored, but there are some files that the existing asset extraction tools can't read so I assume it's there somewhere. I did figure out how to change item pickups though.

I missed Stone, all I had to do was feed the cube to the monster and it would have been completed. I also missed one lost blader apparently. The rest are achievements for endings but I find savescumming for those to be cringe.

Once you cross certain threshold, most NPCs will vanish and you can't finish their quest.

The Unlimited hyperarmor is great, but you really need to time it well.

He mostly kills himself with charges against your parries. You only need to watch out for that lightning arc he does since it has similar windup. Btw your parry can deflect his slash projectiles.

Yes. He has 3 different charge attacks, single, double with a spin(triple in 2nd phase) and with a shield. Shield one was the trickiest for me but he rarely uses it.

It's the one with poison ninjas swooping in near the Lounge branch.
You can get to Hagios Patir early that way, grab a Sword that scales with SPIRIT and take a beating from a large flying half boss.

Did you get all the way to the endgame and then looped to the portal through upper hagios patir? If so, you've reached a dead end where you would've landed way earlier in the game

NTA but it has a similar vibe to this. Post-apocalyptic, machines everywhere, powerful AI, very fast paced combat. It's a gacha but it doesn't feel like one since you're guaranteed to get every character without spending anything.

The lowest I've seen at 1080p with a 4060 is 120, I usually get around 150. Max settings with none of the AI stuff enabled. This is the best running game I've played in a very long time.

Aside from not getting the Blader Longsword a million fucking hours later if you didn't choose it, it's not too big of a deal
Slash/Impale swords got a little shafted. If you wanted to try them out or switch to one your only options are the lightning one (fine weapon but its for spirit builds I think), Frostbitten (lategame), and Blader LS (lategame if you didnt pick it)
I think equipment/weapon spread is one of the few nitpicks I have with the game. Just look at all the people complaining about Main Seals too. There's not a lot of them and all of the interesting ones you dont get until the second half of the game at the earliest.

The AI abandoned humanity for a thousand years and then came back when they discovered they couldn't evolve further. Necros are creations of Nyx, the Church are Aether's creation, and Bladers are a part of the Tree program.

Piercing is super strong. Poison is okay.

The only good part about Mercy is the weapon skill does a lot of damage. Like more than holy sword for a pure mage build. It's not ranged though and its moveset sucks and feels much worse than holy sword. It has that gay ass delayed half second between attacks like katanas do in fromsoft games

Loskid > Charon (mid fight but the special riposte animation was cool) > shit > Aether

It has a good flash attack that restores like 7% sync rate with zero sync rate upgrades at least.
