It swaps that out for a kingdom builder/management mechanic. You build and upgrade while going to various kingdoms and headhunting citizens to join yours. And the story is some of the most absurdly funny shit. The combat is different as well, it’s realtime and you can control your attack directly. It’s pretty good, I’m nearly done with my current replay.

it really is, and the small jump scares they throw out work well and are inoffensive. but the puzzles are mostly terrible and the whole QTE to dodge spookies the entire game feels like they weren't serious about making a real horror game

trying to end a quest while also doing a trade run in Palinero

clear a quest related ambush

travel for 50km or whatever in the world map which is like 15 seconds in irl time, get ambushed again, pop a smoke grenade, fire maybe 7 grenade launcher rounds, kill 9 out of the 20something faggot Palinero soldiers that ambushed me, the rest fled after getting wounded

travel 100km more on the world map, fucking get ambushed again, this time murder all of the 19 smartasses natives that took part in the ambush

the only good loot I got out of those ambushes is a bag of drugs and some alcohol bottles and that is decent merchant trash, and all of it was from the first ambush, the only other noteworthy shit was hand grenades

I’m playing the new Fatal Fury game right now. It’s really fun!
I’m still just messing around in arcade and training right now, but I’m gonna hop online tomorrow.

im starting to get into video games, i played the doom snes port on a gameboy emulator thingamabob. (unfortunately it doesn't have any mario or pokemon games cause miyamoto is a butthurt bastard who strikes people down with copyright)

now that I think about it I actually got ambushed about four times in the span of less of a day of in game time, I completelyforgot about one of the ambushes. the first one was quest related, the second and third were Palinero faggots (all of them died in the former, more than half of the enemies managed to flee in the latter), and in the last one it was natives
I really should hire more mercs, a team made up of only three people is not good enough

Maplestory

Just finished it. Great writing and voice acting, and I quickly got used to the visuals. Really like them, in fact. Head and shoulders above similar games from like Quantic Dream or Dontnod

Top three on this I played just today. The rest were at least within 2 weeks (except Wilds which was 3 weeks; shame that the overall game is barely decent because it's my favorite Hunting Horn gameplay ever).
