CrossCode was "okay", but I went in expecting some ARPG stuff. Instead, I got nothing but puzzles with really bad perspective design. Remake this thread but with a relevant game that's good, we'll wait.

This Swedish guy was making a first-person survival game with a lot of mining and crafting in it that I enjoyed a lot from 2009 to around 2013.
He had plans to flesh it out into a first-person equivalent of the adventure mode from Dwarf Fortress. Said he'd add in villagers that could give you quests and trade with you. Wonder if he ever made good any of that

It's fake indie, using the "indie" tag as a fashion statement/LARP/cosplay for street cred.
The problem with indie is that there's sort of a Pathos attached to the term, which doesn't apply to big indie studios but does apply to small studios with a publisher at it's strangest moments.
