I think FO3 by itself is a little barebones, but with all the dlc included (especially Broken Steel), I think it's a nice meaty package of a game.

If they do it'll be at least 2 years down the road but I doubt they will. Most of the original tools for Oblivion still work there's just an extra layer of UE5 shit to work with and around but they are making quick progress with that already.

scouting locations, scavenging for supplies, mapping routes
2-3 man squad of medic, coms officer, gunner/marksman
typical Fallout RPG fare of story/choices/twists and turns
ghouls, mutants and raiders of various types as enemies
partly proc gen loot and scavenging system
central park as woods area with mutated wildlife so it doesn't get too stale
everything else is streets, alleys, highrise buildings and sewers or metro tunnels
non-hostile life is rare and mostly clustered in 2-3 heavily fortified town-like locations
information is currency in this barter system
you can find new recruits in those town locations or scavenging in the ruins
recruits can become squad mates
squad mates can become companions
companions can become more
affinity system
no friendly mutants or ghouls
Basically what if Metro was an RPG.
Getting lost is the best part with these games. You should probably stick to Fortnight.

I wasn't really hyped for anything until I realized we were getting Fallout 3 remastered like this.
I hope they learn a few things, optimize it better. Ideally the game would get a much more thoughtful remake than just an Unreal engine 5 filter but I'll fuckin take it.
I bet the gunplay will be better too
