Looking to replace this piece of shit, gone through too many to keep buying it but the last third party controller i got was over a decade ago. I've heard they're a lot better now with shit like hall sensors or something but I want something that FEELs like an xbox controller, what do?
What controller do you use?
there's an updated Steam Controller releasing later this year, along with their new VR headset.
Press the uneM button to continue
Just recently redeemed a GameSir. It seems fine, I used to use a 360 controller.
I thought I was buying a purple one but it's very clearly pink
trackpad
pass
Let me guess, you NEED more
previously used a powerA xbone controller until the triggers and sticks stopped working, even after taking it apart to clean.
currently using pic rel. not gonna jump on the hype train and say it's the best controller ever made, but it's a really solid controller for $30usd.
It's comfortable, but the sticks feel different compared to an xbox 360 or xbox one official controller. Compared to 360, it feels more responsive. Compared to xbone, it feels more tactile.
That's about it. I'd rate it an 8.5/10
i've been looking at this one because tariffs mean it's about to be gone forever, it's $50 on amazon and $60 on their website but no interesting colors
These.
The best generic controller is the PS5 though.
x360 still da best
ds4. ds4windows on pc is amazing, you can remap middle touchpad to any button
try not breaking things
all dualshocks suck ass an get stick drift after like 3 months
Why do some people break multiple controllers every year while I've only had one break in my entire life?
sure they're shit but so is anything else except non fake hall effect controllers, but the DS shape feels way better in hand and the dpad isn't complete dogshit like all the ones on 360 layout
i own ps2-ps4 controllers from my childhood and none of them have stick drift.
switch is the only controller that gets stick drift if you're not a drooling retard that mistreats your shit
I know this is bait but kind of hard not to break them when the sticks are designed to self-destruct, faggot kike shill-san.
dualshock layout is scientifically worse, the controllers are also made for small japanese hands
GameSAAR cyclone 2. TMR sticks are amazing, 0.1% drift after 11% drift of xbone pad is a day and night difference.
Dualshock 4
It does the job but I have a problem with the Bluetooth function because it just sometimes stops receiving inputs and messes up my hunts in mhr. I don't know if it's the controller itself or the Bluetooth adapter I bought on aliexpress
Source : my ass
i have pretty big hands and xbone controller feels way worse, if back buttons were standard then maybe they would'nt suck as much but even then dpad is borderline unusable on those, for both placement and being complete inaccurate dogshit, especially with the newer retarded paddle designs.
Anyone that prefers Dpad will most likely pick DS anyway
i bought this for my first controller to use with my pc and this seems to work pretty well. i got a battery that exposes the back so you just put it in its stand to recharge. easily connected to my pc with no config. was like 50 dollars which isnt bad for a controller nowadays
i tried the ds4 that i had from my old ps4 and it was okay but i like the diagonal sticks better than horizontal and there seems to be some issues with bluetooth connecting with pcs in general with it.
i looked a few 3rd party controllers, 8bitdo, gamesir, but ultimately went with the (whatever they call it now, series core? or something). no complaints so far. i did hold the elite series 2 controller in my hand at a demo at best buy and while it felt amazing to hold apparently they fall apart super fast, like within 3-4 months the bumpers stop working- and it costs like $180 dollars which is literally insane
It's adapter. Try to put it in front panel usb slot. If there is a something between adater and controller it can lag.
Like if you place your leg between them it can happen.
Any decent cheap controllers that work on pc/PS4, preferably with hall effect? I've been using DS4 but stick is drifting to the outer limit sometimes which is annoying as fuck and I can't manage to solve the issue
Don't feel like spending like 80 bucks on a new one
switch is the only controller that gets stick drift
Wrong, all of the 8th and 9th gen first party controllers get drift, and even some later 7th gen first party controllers.
just look it up if you want to, or apply some logic and it's pretty easy to understand in order to use dualshocks you have to force your hand into a more unnatural shape
hits diagonal
you must've missed the part where i said if you're not a drooling retard that mistreats your shit
You are a faggot kike corproshill. Lick corporate boot harder, nigger.
I'm currently using this one since it actually has a good dpad, has worked perfectly for the 8 years I've had it
Basic usage is mistreating now
t. drooling retard
It's on the front but I've noticed that it tends to happend when I have the controller below the desk.
If you can get a mid-generation PS4 controller from after they fixed the rubber chemistry, and before they started drifting really bad, they're pretty good.
Otherwise I'd recommend a dual sense.
This is assuming you're on PC and not on an Xbox.
There's really no reason to tolerate lacking gyro in this day and age.
If you want to wait a while, Valve's working on a new controller, but the nova prospect on that releasing is currently up in the air.
ps5 controller that i won in a bleach brave souls twitter giveaway
Get a Machenike G5 Pro
Switch Pro controller, love the ergonomics, how the buttons feel, amazing battery life and has gyro, shame about the Dpad, I'm waiting for the Steam controller 2.
NONE of the modern third party gamepads have dualshock-style shoulder BUTTONS instead of clickers
VGH.
i hope it has a d-pad
the embossed + on the left pad didn't give the feed bad I wanted
also it's just a fucking huge trackpad as well so it doesn't work well for d-pad use cases
DS4 over Bluetooth with DS4Windows. It has the lowest input lag out of all controllers when using it over bluetooth. Just buy an usb
extension cable plug the bluetooth dongle in there and have it hang over your desk so your controller is close to it
This is the real way to use a controller.
Japs brainwashed everyone into being a lefty.
That's the one! I haven't tried the PS5 controller, but this one is really good, Only downside that the trigger buttons gets worn out really fast. I've also heard the the Switch Pro Controller is also pretty good, but haven't had a chance to try one yet.
shame about the D-pad
Is it a common issue for them to read ups and downs if you press left or right two high on the buttons? Made mine unusable for fighting games which was a shame, because it seems great otherwise and I liked using my Xbone pad to play MotW.
Flydigi Vader 4 Pro and a Dualsense
I would use this on my PC if it had analog triggers, so close to being perfect, other than no hall effect sticks.
Vader 4 and Xbox Elite Series 2.
And between them, Vader wins. The Elite only "feels" better to hold.
My series x controller has a layer of dust on it because I never use it. Mouse and keyboard is simply better for 99% of games.
two high
Damn I'm tired
rumors are it's like the steam deck, without the screen of course.
Used Dualsense.
Just werks wired or wireless. Doesn't suffer from periodic disconnections like the Xbox controller with 3rd party BT dongles.
Only downside is the battery life. But I put on my charging station after every session.
The PS5 controller is larger than the Series controllers.
You have tranny hands.
Xbox controllers are fucking garbage
switch pro remote
try and find a 360 wired controller. trust me it's worth any price
8bitdo ultimate 2c
it's literally perfect, you dont need anything else to play
nice try 360 wired controller ebay seller
I never said you have to use ebay. Just make sure it's a legit controller
i'm not the one complaining about controller size and DS controllers nigga
OK then get a rock candy. they're light but work just as well
I'm just joking bro...
it's cool man. Just trying to help you out
updated Steam Controller
I want to believe
she prefers PS5, incase u cared
PS4 controller is the perfect shape!
*PS5 copies xbox shape*
PS5 controller is the perfect shape! Best controller ever!
Why are Sonypals like this? When PS6 controllers move the left thumbstick they will call that genius too.
Potentiometer-based sensors wear out and drift with normal usage. Hall effect sensors and TMR sensors are much more accurate and don't wear out -- and are not really more expensive. If you choose to buy the vastly inferior tech, guess what, YOU are the drooling retard.
I have the same controller and the left stick stays slightly forwards unless I zero it manually. I probably got a thousand hours out of it but yeah pretty shit.
Is there a third party hall sensor xbox controller that uses the xbox wireless dongle? I couldnt go to a corded controller
slight correction I have the updated xbox controller with the flat area around the power button
Most third party releases these days have their own 2.4ghz dongle, and most also use xbox form factor. I'd recommend Gamesir Cyclone 2, but most modern releases from Gamesir, Flydigi, Bigbig Won, Machenike, and PXN would qualify, among other brands.
trust the plan.
2 more weeks.
it's $14 for the non-xbox cucked version rn
amazon.com
i unironically went from a 200 dollar xbox elite 2 controller, which always had something wrong with it (mainly the bumper not working) until it completely just fucking fell apart, to a 20 (twenty) dolllar gamesir novalite. been using it for about half a year now and still no issues.
amazing.
Whats the difference tween 8bit do 2c and ultimate c?
no hall sticks, no extra buttons, worse d-pad, worse latency on the C
2C used to be $30 over the C's $20, but they both discount similarly these days.
Microshit is the worst company ever. Don't get the new one. Just go third party. Get 8bitdo. I have the new one and in 3 months (which is when the warranty ends) the Y button works 50% of the time and the left stick doesn't register inputs most of the time. I hope the Xbox division goes under and everyone in it gets fired.
This here gulikit does me pretty well, recently upgraded teh firmware and the connection is now reliable
DualSense is literally the perfect controller.
Yeah, that's the problem, it tends to read more than one direction sometimes, supposedly people that got hands on with the new Pro controller say it sticks better to the 4 directions and it is a bit more clicky but we will need to get actual reviews about it when it releases, here is hoping the new Steam controller is just perfect (and it fucking releases soon already).
Thoughts? Even having design of rotten metal It looks better than 99% of modern controllers. Filling is pretty good too. I just like to play old horror games and Tony Hawk's series on my DualShock 4, but Its left stick and right trigger are dying.
