Exp and threads do have a skip but it's in no way efficient to do it (unless you're starting out and desperately need threads) so optimally you're doing ~4 fights per day (3 threads, 1 exp). Skip function exists but they don't allow you to skip in optimal scenarios.

I don't know if the Mili moments are the problem(s) with the story or the story's reliance on Mili moments. Cantos are designed in such a way that they have a "peak" moment, and that moment is the scene with Mili's song. The story is just a bunch of nonsense, usually as a result or in combination of distortions, abnormalities and/or boughs. This leads to narrative issues with the events that lead to those moments. You have cases like Canto 5 where Ahab and her crew are randomly waiting around for YEARS instead of destroying the heart; the sinners did nothing that Ahab couldn't have done to reach the heart without them. You also have Canto 6 where there's barely any backgroud shown between any of the featured cast, telling us instead of showing us. Making light of Cathy and Heath's relationship doesn't do the Canto's story beats any good, nor does the fact that an alternate universe Heath is larping as someone else instead of just killing Heath asap.
Mili's songs are great but it's not worth bothering with the game. people told that the story is amazing are being mislead.

I played gacha for a while to help me procrastinate on life but Limbus is a tough sell; they get you in the door with the generous gacha and good story angle but the story sucks and getting characters you want is an endless grind that turns me into a lobotomite. At least the characters were interesting. I liked Ishmael the most. Thought I'd like Ryoshu the most when the game was being teased but she was the worst character.

Playing similar games are annoying to be honest, so I'm avoiding playing gacha games with similar gameplay feel and that's a reason why I dropped Infinity Nikki because it's another open world game, and still playing GLF2.
