The game has interesting tech and runs surprisingly well, the robots are fun to fight too. Too bad about everything else and it being a PvPvE extraction shooter GaaSlop. Had it been a PvE game not published by Nexon/Embark it could have been good, but of course they weren't going to pass up on making it another trend-chasing hat simulator.

Proximity chat is kino and I've had a lot of cool interactions because of it. runs better than a lot of UE5 stuff but has all the same bullshit problems as every other game on the engine. AI voice acting is trash, all the writing is lame, and it's using a shitty paid outfit system instead of the good customization from the finals for some reason, but I had fun this weekend.

Both games have you doing literal chores for 90% of the time, there is way too much downtime that feels like a waste (much like IRL). Last I checked, games are supposed to be fun to play. This last point hits especially hard after the ICO ""update"" in SQUAD where a trained soldier can't hit a human sized target after sprinting for 20 meters.

I think Hell Let Loose is somewhat of a middle ground that you might like. Yes, there are some aspects of building and traveling time, but it's a lot more constant action. Plus with all of these games you get based proximity chat

I run the game on 3070 laptop max settings 1600p with RTX on and get around 100fps on average. No stutters no artifacts. Everything in this game just works.

All they need to do is make an extraction shooter where you aren't teleporting in/out airdropping/etc. to/from a menu and instead just travel to a physical hub area that is shared with other players.
